Boveda Packs During Curing?

So I’m just about to start curing my entire harvest since I’m 6 days into drying at around 70F and 55-60% RH.

The photo is test buds I cut from about a week ago, I’ve put a small hygrometer and a 58% Boveda pack in the rubber sealed mason jars and kept them in the dark. Have been burping once a day.

Do Boveda packs go in during curing, or do they go in after curing to just keep the RH stable for long term storage? I read one post here on ILGM that said they think the Boveda packs lower taste/smell when curing.

I did order Grove Bags but it’s a 3 weeks shipping time.

If you have to wait 3 weeks for the grove bags I think you’re gonna have to do something so it doesn’t dry out while curing, id use 62% boveda packs once i had the moisture down to where i wanted it around 11% tested with a wood moisture meter and the rh holding steady around 60%

Just burp…no packs. Packs good for long term storage…not curing. Grove bags will get here in time for storage. Just me.

Just got the moisture meter, it’s around 12-14. They’re already cut, so do I leave them in the jars still and they’ll dry more and won’t mold
?

If you’ve already cut the that size yeah, they’ll dry out real quick in the open at that size.
Keep you hygrometer in there and just burp the jar 2-3 times a day until it stabilizes, then introduce the packs for long term.
