Does anyone use this “Boutique Technique” of trimming seen in the link below?? Seems like it gives you the best of both worlds between wet and dry trimming! If so what are your thoughts??
Heres a pic of my current Northern Lights Auto’s nearing the end of week 10 since sprouting.
I trim very similar.
I chop and since I bud wash, I do a wet trim before the wash to remove any unwanted plant matter.
Then I wash and hang dry with a fan blowing on the bud for 6 hours then they go to the final dry in a tent or box for the 6-10 more days. Once I hit that mark and they are ready for the bags, I do a final trim and weigh them. Here is a pic of my recent harvest after the bud wash while drying before they went in the box.
Same as @Bonjoyle here, except I live in Arizona so its fairly dry here most of the time so I leave a few fan leaves attached so there is extra moisture available in my dry tent. If I dont put a humidity bucket inside my dry tent they dry in just a few days. Its hard work to keep my dry tent at 65% rh for 2 weeks.
I just watched this video and that guy does it perfectly. Shaving it down like dispensary nugs removes so many trichomes. You of course would catch them and use that trim for making edibles. To be honest though infusing with buds gives you better tasting edibles. Whenever I infuse with trim the oil turns green, like so, and has a plantish taste behind it.
I dry trim. Prior to drying the stems and buds are cleaned up much more than in the video. I do remember seeing that one a few years ago. This is scissors and fingers only.
After a long day you will be rushing lol. Good to have friends. Hand trimming is def best. Im all about a good trim too.
Tarzan does the wet trim. I work on the gross dry trim and my middle trims the best looking buds so we can give them out as gifts.
