Bobby Bob and the Funky Bunch- ILGM AK47 Auto Grow

100% they come from the soil buddy, at least twice I’ve seen them right after transplanting or using new soil

I have no gnats because of how I have have things set up but I do notice one here and there immediately after using new soil

I don’t know why I thought this but I was under the impression the soil would have been heated to a temperature sufficient enough to kill insect and or larva before it is bagged and shipped. It hasn’t caused me any problems, just an observation.

after it’s bagged, it’s passed off to a shipping company then warehoused at a retailer…there are a few places the bagged products can be contaminated. :bug:

@TxGrowman i read a post of yours about cal mag and ak47.

" One thing I have found out and was verified by several other growers, AK-47 takes a lot of Ca/Mg to keep it going. I love growing it and it is a great high. The first time I grew it, I kept coming up deficient but thought it was my pH, had a lot of trouble with that at first. Next time I added Ca/Mg very early and it came out much better."

I was wondering the issues you had? I’m growing ak47 auto and I’m having twisty droopy leaves.

I have pics and a support ticket above if you wouldn’t mind taking a look?

Mostly spotted and discolored leaves with burns tips of the leaves. There is a great picture of it in the Guides section at the top of the page, click on Symptoms Checker and look for Calcium Deficiency.

Twisted leaves come with many things. They are common in over-watered plants is the most common thing I found but can appear in deficiencies such as Calcium Deficiency. Watch your pH closely, it may be a pH problem that is locking out vital nutrients. Adding Calcium/Magnesium to the soil may make a difference. I would look closely at the pH first. Look at the Symptoms Checker, it has great info. Hope that helps.

Meant to ask you, how is the weather there? I know you have quite a bit of snow all over the North east coast.

Not bad, lol. Per the usual. I have a BS Thread and I posted a couple pics this morning.

Food Grade DE has arrived and applied. One of the gnats immediately died as he was all covered in DE and was easy pickins’ LOL

I also installed the new humidifier

Leaves are still a little twisty on number one, but she looks good otherwise. Explosive growth since transplanting.

I’m not sure if the twist will correct itself. Mine still have it, but not on the new growth. I don’t like the look, but I plan on leaving the twisted ones on since they don’t seem damaged in a way that will hurt the way they work.

At this point I’m just waiting for the new leaves to get bigger so I can see how they look but I’m not overly concerned. I think I’m going to keep giving super thrive for the next two weeks but that’s it for now. Thanks for stopping by @FloridaSon @Countryboyjvd1971

The Falls are one of the most awesome thing I’ve ever seen and I heard that they have recently done a major upgrade to the lighting, can’t wait to see it hoping to get there this spring/summer ?

I’ve never gone to the falls. Driven by there. Next trip thru the area I’m gonna have to stop by.

Ride the Maid of the Mist when you are there, and take a waterproof camera if you have one. Great pictures.

Thanks @BIGE @Countryboyjvd1971 I’m not worrying about it at all. She’s healthy otherwise. Still a bit undersized but since transplant has increased quite a bit!
