Bit off more than I can chew, now what?

I have two bag seeds I started late March and are about to enter flower. I also have another seedling that’s about three weeks. One thing I didn’t account for is the light switch, and how that’s going to affect the seedling, assuming it is a photo. Is there a way for me to flower my two plants and leave the seedling in the same tent to grow without flowering? I have tho sf1000s and was wanting to flower these two, and then one plant off of both lights when that plant enters flower/late veg. Any recommendations?

The seedling will continue to grow after the flip and will not start flowering until it reaches maturity.

Can you veg it outside the tent while the others finish?

It’s what I’m thinking but I don’t have any other lights, and getting a whole new tent started up even for a single plant temporarily is a bit too expensive for me right now. I do have light cables, long cords that can power light bulbs, but I don’t know of any bulbs adequate to veg a single plant, even if I were to get 3/4 of them

Thanks for the info. I’ve already made the switch, so we’ll see what happens

I was thinking more like the sun :sun_with_face: harden that girl off and veg outside

You don’t need another tent if you’d like to veg your smaller plant longer. If you have a place to put it under another light it can just be sitting in a corner somewhere. Otherwise I would just put it in the tent with other plants and let it do its thing. As already pointed out it will continue to grow on 12/12 until it reaches sexual maturity and then start transitioning to flower.

I forgot about the sun :grinning: I will consider that, if I see some flowering growth somehow I’ll throw this baby outside

Gonna do this, if the plant matures early I can put her outside. I’m sure she’d like it more anyways. My only problem is I live directly next to and in plain view of a middle school, so it’s gonna be hard to get away with lol

If you have her outside and then bring her back in, do be careful about not bringing possible critters into your tent/onto you other plants. Maybe keep that plant outside forever (and also keep her sprayed with something like Captain Jack’s Dead Bug spray), which seems like how you were going. Although being in view of the kiddo school … Maybe you could put up something decorative or some such thing to block any view of the plant.

My idea was to make a makeshift green room with some poles, tape, and plastic tarp. I just don’t know how to go about finding the right ratio of light transmissibility to how transparent the tarp is, because the aim is to blur the inside enough to hide the fact that it’s a marijuana plant

Scratch the outdoor idea.

Yea dont take that chance bro. Not worth the risk. Leave her in the tent and let her do her thing. Ive grown some healthy autos on a 12/12

@ChittyChittyBangin @StonedCold13 Probably for the best, knowing my luck I’d get all the way until a week before Harvest and then I’d get the knock at my door

Ya don’t go outside. Not worth the risk. I have a timing issue and @ChittyChittyBangin @PurpNGold74 helped me through. I let it go for 4 weeks then flipped. Due to my lack of knowledge feeding, nutes water nutes water, not nutes nutes nutes water I ended up with just under 2 zips dried. Could have been bigger if I didn’t burn her so badly and have to chop early. I’ve seen some great 12/12 in the forum. Let her ride.

Awesome, so what’s the process? Do I just leave her there as is in 12/12 and let her do or what?

Yhup, like db said. She won’t flower till mature. 4-6 weeks. She will do just fine under 12 hr light.
BRB…
Can’t find it, someone around here is running seed to harvest on 12/12
Thought it was MB?

You could put it under a small light
somewhere out of the way and keep it kind of dormant until the others are done flowering. A small light will keep it alive without having to feed or water it much. It will stay tiny until the time comes.
