Bigb2's continuing grow journal

Im a total moron :man_facepalming:
I was talking pH. Our well water is 7.0. PPM is around 450. Let it run for a good 20 minutes. We changed out the screens too as they will hold minerals.

Yours is high for sure. My well is 28 ppm, I have to add cal mag to get it to PH . It’s nice to have total control over them though.:oncoming_fist::smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

The barf smell really came through when i was chopping and washing this one. Buds are very loose, but that should mean that i won’t have any mold issues. Either i picked the correct strain for a summer grow, or i did something wrong to cause low bud density.

So, i let the well water at the new to me house run for around 15 minutes and collected a sample. The ppm are over 1010 now.:joy::sweat_smile::grinning_face:
Its going to cost close to 10k to get water company water. Anyone on here used a whole house filter system that works decent?

I think @AfgVet uses RO filtration?

Where is the well pulling from? Ours pulls from a river and we have PVC piping. Run about 400.

Its a deep well on the property. Im unsure where other than from the ground water table. Its been there a long time.

Is there a spigot at the well? Id be curious if it was the actual water or build up in the pipes leaching into it?

No spigot on well. Not much pipe from well to house.

That’s a pretty hign number! We use a whole house filter system, basic pre filter and then a charcoal (from coconut husks) tank. We have quite a bit of sulfer and the coconut charcoal is good for that. I’d say it would cost about $1k to install. This system brings the ppms down to the 300 range. From there I use a small RO system to filter the water for my hydro system.

Thanks for the info @AfgVet! 1000 for a filter system is far better than 10k for treated water.

White truffle looking closer to the finish line. Good thing i didn’t pull her when i let her go dry. She’s got better looking buds than the photo she grew with.
Might check trichs tomorrow.

Barf breathe

Sure would be nice if we had some humidity around here. She is almost ready to bag after 4 days. Threw her in a tote to try and slow down the process. I probably should be upset about the bud density. She is fluffy top to bottom. I found zero bud rot, so thank you fluffy buds?

The boss smoke tested her, and says tastes minty, christmas tree and a bit of flower/floral. All i get for effect is that it got her stoned. Guess thats good since she only smoked a pinky nail sized bud.

Barf breathe passed the test. The boss did smoke test two. She quit smoking after a couple hits and went inside “I’m going in, this s@#$ is f-ing me up.” Lol

my goal every time.

@Bentstick the plant wasn’t pretty, but its still effective. 11.5 oz smokeable. Almost everything in the bag is dime size buds.

White truffle auto is washed and on the drying rack. This is the biggest auto I have grown. I guess topping her and drying her out was just the right amount of stress?!

Even got the automatic leaf vacuum to help me out.

Doggy vacuuming is a plus

The poodle is a good helper. She’s been by my side helping trim weed since yesterday afternoon. She prefers wet trimming. Dry leaves aren’t as tasty. Lol
