Bigb2's continuing grow journal

Mine are reliable at 1 gal per pot per day since flip. Might see how well my 3 gal pots fit in bases for next round.

Still have one showing too much N. New res is 5.8 and 640ppm.

That should fit, I can run 5 gallon pots in mine. I think the only difference is the height of the bag on the 5 gallon bags?? I might give a single photo period in a 5 gallon pot a try one day but in one of my 2 x 4s. A gallon a day seems on point Brother :love_you_gesture:

Funny. I had the same thought when these girls started stretching. Except i was thinking of filling the 5 x 5 with one girl.

That would be a monster in a 5 x 5, I can’t get a nice round canopy with a 2’ depth in the 2 x 4 :love_you_gesture:

I probably won’t do a single until i get the stash box overfull. Multiple plants is my insurance policy when one doesn’t perform, molds, hermies, etc.

5 weeks from flip.

NL is still looking the nicest. She is at least a week ahead of the other for trueflowering time.

Mac1 x cindy99 is now the tallest lady in the tent. She was the smallest until around a week ago. She has just a touch of N toxicity. I think.

Apple Fritter is doing some serious stacking even though she looks pretty unhappy about N. Her color looks a touch better today. Not sure if they recover from the clawing? She will pass up the NL on buds if she keeps up this stacking.

NL is getting heavy. Was adjusting her and supporting colas and lost a lower limb. For the lowest larf branch, the cola is already pretty dense.

Trunk porn for the NL.

Apple fritter is coming out of the clawing/wilting look. Res is at 5.8 and 625ppm again. Probably stick with that until one of the girls shows a deficiency.

Its official. I am hooked on the coco and autopots. These girls just keep growing at a ridiculous rate. I’m going to run out of bambo and ties soon!

The buds are exploding in size. I didn’t really think about needing support on soil grows. I’m digging it!

6 weeks from flip. Starting to look tasty. Tent is smelling good!

Northern lights #5 is looking way ahead of the others for maturity.

Apple fritter is getting some fat tops.

Mac1 x C99 has been the runt in the back until now. She is stacking nice. She is blowing away the other two for trichomes. Fan leaves and everything on her is like glue. I needed a rubber suit to defoliate. Arms, shirt, everything is sticky.

@Low would you mind looking at bud pics in previous post? I am wondering if the wilted looking sugar leaves is from too much N. I thought it was since the one plant was pretty dark green, but the other is not dark green at all. I reduced the feed to 650ppm around two weeks ago. Will they continue to show the wilted look even if they are getting what they want?

I’ve had a couple plants do this throughout flower before regardless of how low the PPMs were. I’d consider the density of medium or environmental stressors. Leaves typically do this from nitrogen, but also do this from a root zone issue. Not enough air/trapping too much water for too long. Out of range humidity or heat. When I get a solid pot I’ll make some holes using a stick/skewer or something similar and aerate the medium.

Edit
Very nice buds BTW, stacking up!

Hmmm. I just went to fill the res and noticed it is funky. Like algae maybe? Will that cause root issue?

Can i dose it with h2o2 to kill algae?

Algae is caused by light, slime is bacterial. Res temps can play a role also in reservoir health. Have a pic and temp?

Yes you can use peroxide. It’s safe. I use it all the time. But I also don’t have microbes to worry about.

The res temp is 74f. I been rotating a gallon of ice to keep temp down. Its a black autopot trash can, so no light.

Whatever it is has some floating.

I am using jacks and tps gold. Nothing else
