Hello I’m new to the concentrates game and I wanted to ask a question. When I run my trim through will the end result taste like the trim smells?like dried leaves n such and if so is there a way to get around that thanks. I don’t have any equipment other than my extraction tube I was giving so ill be running open loop thanks.

Nah you’ll get all the terpines and stuff from the trichromes. Most of the chlorophyll will be left behind

There are a lot of different versions of this.
If you do not have a dewaxing column, I would recommend everything go in the freezer the night before.
This will reduce wax’s and some chlorophyll from being picked up.
Otherwise it will pick up any terpenes present on the material. Remember when running trim, it’ll be a darker color than you would with flower.

Can sunshine remove the chlorophyll and not hurt the terpenes?
No the sun won’t remove the chlorophyll, but keeping them in the dark, for the normal curing process helps.
Light degrades cannabinoids. I would keep harvested flower out of the sun (or any intense light for that matter.)

I was asking because I saw a utube video and they sat the alcohol extraction in the sun a few hours and said it removes chlorophyll. I trust the peeps here more than utube especially since there was only one that did it.
