Hello out there at the end of my keyboard, when is the best time to water my plants that are grown using sunlight only.
Any advice would sure be appreciated as I am a late riser…11am ish and the early morning would be harsh for me

Any time they need it, I have no set time, when I have time and when they get thirsty/ hungry.
Whenever it is convenient. Be sure to let your soil dry out between waterings if growing in soil.
If you can’t do early mornings, then try for a couple of hours before sunset. It gives any splashes time to dry off before nighttime, helping to avoid mold/mildew. And as it cools off, the water will be better absorbed in the soil rather than drying quickly during midday sun and heat.
But also, if you go outside and your plants are in heat distress, don’t wait. Better to give water midday than to let them stay stressed until near sunset.
Hope that helps.
I prefer right before sunset for multiple reasons. First, i like that the soil will stay moist longer especially in the hot july days. Second, during the fall, when it gets cold and is a frost possibility, wet soil is safer then dry soil.
Many thanks.
Appreciate your reply , thank you.
Plants will process the most water during light hours when stomata are open. This is the best time to make sure they have water.
