I would like to know and imagine others would to, what are the best sides for the East Coast, Example SC It’s hot and Humid, anyone who has the same question but for another state please post here if you would lie
Same conditions where im at but id suspect Columbian or aculpulco gold. Any of the island cultivars. Could probably search origin country of them and make a decision based on that? Ive never really thought about it like that but its good logic.
White widow is a very hardy strain in all conditions.
The problem with that is nothing is pure anymore so even a Durban that originally comes from hot humid would be full of European genetics. The best bet would come from true landraces. I’d look into Indian landrace strains.

Where I’m at in the Central California mountains we have 100+ degree days for June, July, August and most of September almost every day. I’ve grown many that the heat is just too much for but I did get a pack of Afghanica from Anesia and they took to the heat very well. Hope that helps 
With low humidity also. There’s a reason the hippies moved to Cali. The humidity comes in the winter there.
Sure does. Luckily where I’m at in the mountains our humidity stays around 45-50%.
Bud structure is typically not as dense on sativa but like Budbrother said, hard to get stuff that hasn’t been walked over multiple times.
I’m a native SC dude and moved to NC many years ago but identical environmental conditions. I grow a variety of strains regardless of their origins. Get your environmental conditions in range and there shouldn’t be a problem unless you’re growing outdoors. I run an AC and sometimes a 70 pint dehumidifier in my lung room to keep the temps in a range of 74-82 and the RH depending on the plants growth stage. In veg there’s no need to run a dehumidifier but when my tents are in flower and I can’t get it below 60ish on the RH, I’ll fire up the dehumidifier. Keep the air circulating and exhausting inside the tent.

Strains from Heaven
I grew out a Truthband about 10 years ago. About as close as I’m likely to come to a true landrace.
An indoor grow, but still kicking myself for not doing it outside.
She really wanted to run, I was definitely riding the brakes on her potential.
A great smoke.
I’m with OG if you’re indoor sky’s the limit if lung room is good….
I have four by four tent in a 7x 8 lung room.. with AC vented to the attic in take fan and exhaust
Dehumidifier and also exhaust fan for lung room.
You just need to run the AC on dry mode most of the time because of the humidity..
Lights out start dehumidifier..

Since moving south from NY to Sc 12 yrs ago.Im primarily an outdoor gardener. I grown several hybrid strains all heavy leaning indicas. Other than normal prevention issues the biggest concern is the month of September.When September is dry plants finish wonderful,a wet September can cause but rot ,mold and so on. On wet September’s you need to be extremely vigilant with your plants . Check them every day.

White Widow,GSCE,GFOG,Nicole kush,Motor breath,Fat Banana.and others.
In my experience a person could grow just about any strain here. As stated one must be very attentive to their plants.Im a retired person so it gives a little edge over folks who are still in the work force.

Worst issue I’ve had here,TORNADO. I had a Fat Bastard plant that would have produced over a lb .The tornado took half of it .What really gets me is it had about 7-10 days to finish. September will be the hardest month

Indica typically work best dry from my experience. Bud rot in the thick clusters. Sativa I have great luck with with the larger spacing and better airflow. In South Texas it is just like SC. Lived in Beaufort a few years. We grew sativa. Tall lanky and shed rain better than the short thick stuff. Same will happen in a tent if you cant easily control it. Sativa heavy hybrids also.

I definitely agree with the sati dominant strains for high temps and humidity outside.
But, before moving back to Texas, my worst enemies were myself and the local wildlife.
One time I had 16 or 18 caramel cream growing in a flat, just about ready for a larger home.
I poked my head in for a morning checkup, closed the door then had to look again.
Every single plant had become a little inch high stump.
Pack Rat.
Critter control, my friends, is something to consider as well.
