Best ppm meter? And ph one?

Hello,

Currently in the business to buy a ppm meter and ph meter for a 500€ price range?

Any good one to recommend? I’ve seen conflicting advices from various thread so i’m trying my luck with this one!

Cheers

Apera and Bluelab both make great meters. I use an Apera PC60 that measures both pH and PPM. It is expensive, but a great meter that can be calibrated, as meters tend to drift over time and must be recalibrated.

I would recommend the Blue Lab for the TDS pen and the Apera 20 PH pen. I’ve had these for over 4 years and they’re both very reliable and accurate :love_you_gesture:

i’ve red mixed feeling about the pens? seems it’s not your opinion! if anyone who’s against could chime in!

I was using cheap “Hone Forest” TDS/EC meters (about $10 on Amazon), which many people recommended, but I found that they fail after a while - and since you can’t calibrate them, the only way I found out is that I had two, which gave very different readings. Each of the three Hone Forest meters I bought failed after a few months.

So I gave up on them and bought a Blue Labs TDS/EC pen, which is great, but more expensive ($80 or $90). It can be calibrated with a standard solution, so you can trust the readings.
