Hi guys!!!
Im wondering peoples opinions on what would be the best lights to use for a mother room 8x6. I currently use optic slims for my other grow room since my optic 6 gen 3 was killing my electric bill and produced tons of heat. I’d love to hear what people think would be the best for keeping the mothers healthy.
That’s a big area for mother’s…
Are you even sure that you need that much room…? 
I use a 2x4 space for my cloning and vegging area and im able to keep two 4x5 tables in rotation with 6 plants per table rotating every 6 weeks or so with no issues and I’m only using 12 6400 Kelvin CFL bulb’s in a diy light fixture…

I guess I’m not following what you mean… you say you have a 2x4 space but two 4x5 tables. Could you explain what you mean?

This is 2’ deep by 4’ wide by 8’ tall area in a corner of a room with reflectix for walls…
I am a water only grow… no media in rdwc vegg and dwc cloning…

Here are my flower tables…
I usually run 3 tables but have dropped down to 2 just because summer is coming and outside temps are already 108 degrees Fahrenheit today…
These are my flowering tables , everything is pretty much diy here… lol
These plants went into flower on 4,20,20…

Here is my other table that’s about 3 weeks from harvest…
I was like you at one time and growing a bunch of plants…
I’ve spent the last 3 years figuring out how to down size plant numbers and get bigger yields…
I can usually pull 1.5 to 3 lbs from one table depending on strain and how long I’ve been working with it…

I don’t use the 5 gallon jugs anymore , now everything is hooked up to a self watering ro system… lol

Oh ya , heres a pic of my vegg and clone light… for my 2x4 space…
It’s a cheap bathroom light fixture that I put a whip on and added a reflectix hood to force the light in the direction I want…
With a few y receptacles to get more light…
Each bulb is 23 watts from the wall…
I do have better lights for this , but why chang this if I cant keep up anyway’s…

Resourceful and does the job. You can’t beat that. So far I have only grown autos in soil and am trying my hand at photos for the first time Northern Lights First Photo Grow thanks for sharing your setup

In a few weeks this will be full again…
This has to do with science , space and how well you can manage your space…

Oh hell yeah tag me in! Looks great, and to be honest, I’m thinking about trying my luck in DWL next.
It’s crazy how much time is spent with soil grows. Hoping to minimize my time spent for maximum quality output.

My advice is before you start purchasing parts for DWC to run your ideas past the forum. I pay a lot of attention to @peachfuzz when he talks hydro.
