Well be going there today ,lol
Happy frog potting soil would be your best bet . Make sure to read the info about the soil the one I got was better for container grows.
Yeah miracle grow the recognized name all us newbies start with. I also use happy frog from Amazon I try stock up, there was a seller that had a special on 2 big bags for the price of 1. Stock ran out, but Iāll keep an eye out if they do it again.
Amazon has a great selection of Fox farm products
@garrigan62 Has really good soil recipes you should try out. I used so him soil passed grows and this grow Iām using mixasoil for 2 plants and the other 3 plants I use kind soil imo all 3 soils are affordable and do impressive outcomes. @Bigchicago
The Happy frog potting soil was the best for container plants . Does anyone know do I need to pour a hot boiling pot of water on the soil to kill what doesnāt need to be in the soil.
Would ffof and coco coir be a good mixture for outdoor plants
It should Iām going to be using hot soil on bottom coca coir on top when I have plants outdoors and welcome to the Forum. @isaiahjames14
This is my first time growing and I messed up right from the beginning. I went and got miracle grow preformance and they have been in it for two weeks. There doing fantastic and are around a foot tall, I topped them already but my question is⦠How long can I leave them in the miracle grow? I did go buy a premix with no slow release nutrients a bag of petite and a bag of compost and was going to mix it together also got the 20 20 20 and Iām reading thatās not right either. Basicly I want to get the best soil and nutrients I hear the super soil is good for the whole grow? How is that possible when the plants needs change? Iām lost on that one. Help. There doing good and I donāt want to loose them to miracle grow preformance
What do you use if there is a fox farm happy frog shortage. My local grow shop recommended black gold but idk. Maybe hf will be back when I need soil.
I havenāt used miracle grow on cannabis plants but I have on tomato plants and it killed it kind of quick. I use nothing but super soil and living soil and had no problems with it. Iām pretty sure if you transplant to organic soil without any miracle grow it should be okay depending on age of plant (age of plant meaning seedling, Vegitative stage and flower stage) but as I stated before I have never tried that. When I use super soil or living soil and transplant I use super soil or living on bottom of pot then use organic potting soil on top. With living soil or super soil it has everything from seed to harvest. No need to feed plants when the soil feeds the plant if that makes any sense. If you want say like more nutes you feed the soil like top dress or teas. Once you transplant into fresh super soil or living soil the plant will get all those organic nutes it has in soil. Be aware though with getting certain brand super soil or living soil premixes cause some leave stuff out that plants need. I use nothing but roots organic for organic potting soil on top and either sohum soil or kind soil on bottom. The reason for sohum soil or kind soil on bottom is because giving a plant just sohum soil or any hot soil it will burn the plant. The soil breaks down slowly that prevents lockouts etc. For example I had reammended my used super soil and living soil checked runoff ppm (parts per million) and got 1780ppm which is good. I will be changing up on soil when I transplant my Blue gelato to fox farm ocean forest soil and fox farm happy frog mixed together. From what Iāve got told plenty of times never use time release nutrients. IMO I would recommend sohum soil, kind soil, roots organic, fox farm ocean forest and fox farm happy frog mix together. With sohum soil you can get it delivered to you at your doorstep for about 50$ for 1.5 cu ft. I had enough soil to do 3 7 gallon fabric pots. @BobbyDigital can help you out also about soil. This picture is my Grand daddy Purple in week 6 almost week 7 flower I have used sohum soil and roots organic even when I transplanted it at younger age. This might help you get an insight of how well plants will grow.
Keep in mind that my Grand Daddy Purps buds are still swelling so they will get fatter and dense. Itās always better to do DIY super soil and living soil. Bad side with making your own soil is that it takes time to be finished like 3 to 6 months maybe longer but you will know exactly what you have in your soil which is really good. @garrigan62 has some really good soil recipes. When I have time on my hands I will be using garrigans soil recipe.Iām pretty sure you can use any organic super soil or living soil to replace fox farm soil or mix it together and be fine.
Just to add a lil bite here in the south ill use ocean forest 2 cf black cow manure 2 cf peat moss 1cf an a cup of azomite mixed up all good together now you really donāt have to go out like that Fox farm alone works just fine for me
Which Roots Organic soil do you use? Original? Lush? Green Lite? Something else?
I use original roots organic never had any problems with it. Plants always thrived and loved it. I normally use roots organic grow an roots organic bloom terp tea on it an every other soil I use. It works wonders. I do add molasses, super thrive, h.o.g liquid sea kelp (got it ordered from Canada stuff I love to use) and mycorrhizae all mixed in water. Right now the soil I have thatās reammended is a mix of roots organic, pro mix hp, sohum soil, kind soil and
Another brand of soil that I cant think of right now @Twelve1

Have you heard of jungle growth potting soil is that any good I was going to buy mg
Just starting a grow with ārecipe 420ā soil. Havenāt transplanted into it yet. I did a runoff of the soil with 6.0 pH ro water with 0 ppm and ec. It came out as 6.4 pH and 2400 ppm. Hope this helps anyone who is looking at that soil. Iāve heard its made just for weed and havenāt seen too many complaints.
