my seedlings aren’t putting on weight ! about 3 weeks now ! thoughts please
How often and how much are u watering
They’re looking good, wet but good. 3 weeks from sowing or sprouting . They have a lot of root formation to go through at this stage but they do look smallish
watering with a mist sprayer , just sprayed them ,that’s why they look wet ,have them under a rack of white led lights a week after they popped up but that was a week after i’d left them on a window and the stalks sort of got long ,this is only my second attempt ,using a spray as afraid of " “overwatering” maybe too dry ,spraying about 3 times a day till the soil gets wet ,thoughts on size of pots as well
Little ladies in big pots. She’s putting down lots of roots with all that space. They look healthy so don’t sweat it . They will put on a show soon
What medium are you using?
That explains the wet look . Like @Watt-Sun says lot of space for a small plant. Wouldn’t move them either just let them get on with it
A little to much water is the first thing I see. At this stage you won’t need more than 10 ml. Secondly…they look a little stretchy to me. Thirdly…don’t get the leaves wet if you can help it. Grow lights + beads of water on leaves = leaves can get fried due to the magnification of the water + light.
This is a weird one. They look a little stretched but otherwise perfectly healthy. If you said they were a week old id say they were looking just fine. At three weeks though something’s weird. They look wet but I start in big pots and water for the first week the same way you are so I completely get how they can look soaked in a picture but not be water logged at all around the growing roots.
They really don’t look over or under watered but starting in big pots doesn’t explain the lack of growth. Like I said I start the same way and they are much bigger at three weeks, reliably. Are they all the same genetics? What’s the temperature of your grow area?
I use 15 gallon fabric pots. My one plant isn’t 3 weeks old and its on record pace for size. His…3 weeks I am guessing not good lights.
lots of advice grateful advice guys ,seems best to leave them alone and see what happens ,water the earth not the leaves, ok 10ml two teaspoons is that daily weekly ?
@jimmythebush try raising them a bit off the ground get some air flow underneath circulate your air
Pot can grow algae if im correct if the pots are not black insides. This happens and can cause root issues. @jimmythebush. @Covertgrower
Seedlings look good , small fan create a little air flow make the ladies dance helps to strengthen the stems.
Community has you covered good luck.
really must apologise guys the seedlings were planted only 10 days before i took the pics ,so timescale is way off , sorry ! thank god for facebook messenger !
Lol no worries that’s why I started using my phone calendar
So couple days underground, planted ten days ago… Little more light that they are asking for by stretching and your in business
