Beginning of flowering!

Getting nice and frosty nice job. I have 4 fans oscillating in my 4x8 space 24 hrs a day so I don’t defoliant my forest much and they do great. I tie branches down to allow for light penetration

I know I need to get two more fans for my 5x10. Unfortunately I could only afford two oscillating with an 8" inline and the tent all at once. But it’s doing a good job when it’s not super humid out.

And thank you! Always nice to hear that they’re coming along nicely. Since it is my first real grow and all I like to make sure it’s progress is good.

Thanks!

Hey you will keep adding to your grow equipment as long as you grow. It’s just one of the things we do to get better. I went with a 8” in-line from AC infinity. So in 5 grows I’ve updated tent, in-line fan, oscillation fans and lights. I also invested in a ebb and flow hydroponic system. I think my wife caught on and cut out my allowance  but I may ask for different lights as a retirement gift.

Lmao. That’s great. My spouse is fully for my growing and getting the best equipment since they’re a bigger smoker than me technically. But since they’re entering the third trimester within a week I figured I’d start the operation and teach them along the way.

I have everything AC infinity besides my lights. Those are spiderfarmer sf400s. I plan on switching those over to at least the ionframe 8s by infinity as well down the line. One light is 2.7umols and the other is 2.9umols because it’s a newer series/model. The ionframe 8s pump out 3.15 umols I believe. If I’m going to invest this much time and energy and money into why not go for something I’m not going to need/want to upgrade in a year.

I agree my first grow was a T5 4 bulb florescent and then I added a HLG Diablo 350. Now I use 2 Grower choice 680w led. I want to move up to 1000w HLG or near that wattage. I made a mistake and bought the grower choice from the factory and in 4 months 1 quit, had to ship it back and shipping cost me 1/3 of the cost of the light I was mad as hell and they replaced it and didn’t charge me for return shipping. I’ll never buy anything else from them. My friend owns a hydroponic store and sells them. If I would have bought it from him I wouldn’t have had to pay shipping but I tried to save money but it cost me. Live and learn.

I get that. I made the mistake of buying my first sf4000 from spiderfarmer and paid like $350ish for it and then my cousin told me to check marketplace on Facebook and found the newer model for $200 less with .2 more umols. Unfortunately nobody wants to get rid of AC infinity lights so I can’t go that route. Lol.

So far so good with the newer model though. No complaints so far. Said it was only used for one cycle of tomato’s. I kinda laughed about that tbh since I made a drive to Michigan for it to find out they were ACTUALLY using it for tomatoes. Lol

Definitely keeping an eye out for any good AC Infinity coupons. So far only 8% but I’ll take what I can get honestly when I’m looking at $550ish a light and I want 2 or 3.

I’m a believer in defoliation and 100% respect the other great growers comments here and have seen their phenomenal plants. Just goes to prove that not one size fits all, with that said I do believe in selective defoliation and not overdoing it :love_you_gesture:

Most definitely. Don’t want to take too much off and stress her out or stunt her at all. Just trying to get a feel of the range of when you guys do it so I know when to look out mainly ya know?

I do a preflip, 21 and 42 day defoliation :love_you_gesture:

Is that for autoflower or photo?

Both sometimes, just depends on the amount of growth that’s needed :love_you_gesture:

Gotcha. Alright I think I’m starting to dial it in now. I really appreciate everyone’s help!

The pistils changing to orangish brown is from maturing not light being too close/strong right? Colas above them don’t have it so I wasn’t thinking lighting but I’d rather be safe than sorry when it comes to this.

I know this happens but I’m not sure why it’s happening now is all

Another look. Different plant different strain. Same concern
