Thanks for the info @zparkie2! Such a wonderful idea! Was curious about the decarboxilation though, is any potency lost with this option?
Not that I know of, You have to decarb though because if you don’t there won’t be any potency. LOL. The cannabinoids change to THC from the heat just like smoking. Out of all the oils, coconut oil is the best absorbs the components the best. I make them for my arthritis and there is no better pain relief. I add a little more herb than they say also. It is on the internet, Just type in cannacaps.
I checked it out. Saw the canna caps. Super easy method! They had a method for making smokable concentrate using the 91% isopropyl alcohol on that website too. That is the method I was gonna use. I’d rather smoke mine personally. Basically their method produces a cleaner and better tasting wax than what I produce using butane. At least that’s the claim.
If you can use isopropyl, can you use EverClear? roughly 180 proof (90%) and it won’t kill you if you drink it - so probably better for smoking too.
I had that very thought. They didn’t suggest ethanol alcohol but I would think it will do the same thing. Probably have a corn taste afterwards though! Lol
better that than wood.
@Whodat66 yes, you can use EverClear. I believe you air dry and the alcohol will evaporate. Much healthier approach, I think.
I have used it for 'tinctures" (fail) but I have also used it to clean things (brilliant!)
Imagine a world where you can use a bowl of everclear and a brush, and clean off your grinder, scissors, or anything else that gets gummed up with keif and hash. Then imagine letting that alcohol evaporate…
Well different lights different results, seems like COB is winning.
Kinda funny. My King LED is doing better than my COB… The COB is rated higher in lumens and watts. The left half under the King has bigger buds
