I remember seeing somewhere that there is 3 different datums for the TDS/EC meter to be read. How do I know which one is right for me. I’m in AUSTRALIA just loudly if that makes any difference.
I don’t know that there is a wrong way. Some meters work a little differently than others though. Make sure it’s setup properly and you’re using same standard across the board I would say.
Good stuff. All is well. So I will just keep doing what seems to be working. Cheers for your prompt replies. Appreciated.
There is British EC, Canadian EC and American PPM. I forgot the conversion formula and I can’t grok the EC but I can intuitively ‘see’ parts per million lol.
So I’m gonna give it to you in PPM because I’m too stupid to convert. For early veg, 600 ppm ramping up to 800 to 900 in late veg. Flower would be 1,200 ppm to 1,400.
I use Lucas Formula with Armor Si and Hydroguard.
Here’s a shot of my grow:

You can see the standing reservoir to the left in the second picture. Plants went into the baskets on 13 January.
One of those is a Crystal (left). Yours is no doubt developing a root structure before it gets going.
Beauty. That’s what I needed to know. I can relax a bit. THANKU too.
This is her.13 days old today. Cheers for your quick reply too mate. Love your set up there. Good work. I’ve been using Epsom salts, teaspoon per gallon. Dollars are very tight but I know what to get when I have em👍Just wanna say thanx 4 sharing. Nice you could take the time outta your schedule to help. Looks like your a busy one.
Everyone here wants you to grow killer weed. I learn from every interaction with other growers. Happy to help, any time!
Good stuff. Love it. I’ve had nothing but good advice from this site, not to mention feeling confidence all the way. This truly is an awesome site for all that are serious about this particular endeavor. Finding it hard to be patient with the chrystal SEEDLING. Still alive and all, but no bloody growth upstairs .
@dbrn32 @Myfriendis410 @peachfuzz @Screwauger @Hogmaster @Whodat66 @Countryboyjvd1971 @raustin @elheffe702 @blackthumbbetty Just wondering what everyone’s take is of leaves reaching for the stars instead of remaining horizontal. Gotta ask all.
That sounds like they’re just reaching up to soak up the light. Probably not a big deal, but can you post a picture? There are some “reaching” things they do that could indicate a problem. They move around quite a bit throughout the day. Check out a time lapse on youtube! ![]()
Sweet. Yep tomorrow is once a week picture day. They seem to be growing ok it’s just that I’ve seen some negative feedback around the place. Trying to be on the ball is all. Pics will be on here in roughly 12 hrs time.
Probably fine, tag me when post pics and I’ll take a look.
I agree prob fine post a picture
How far away are you lights @Bubbles1

Pineapple Chunk looks healthy, about ready for a bigger pot, and just about ready to top if you intend to do so. The cotyledons are used up, so she’s ready for nutrients if your soil isn’t amended, but the tips look like they’re just starting to yellow, so she may be good for a bit. You might water to runoff before you transplant, and test the runoff to see where you’re at. The margins of the leaves curling up on a couple of the leaves might mean it’s a little too hot, or a little too low humidity. I know very little about dwc or hydro in general, but your monster crop looks to be revegged well, and growing fast ![]()
Looks good to me.
Good news. Cheers. My hygrometer is waiting for batteries unfortunately. Won’t be long.
One dose of nutes is all so far as she is in a compost mix. Transplant option sounds nice. Will go to 5 gallon in next couple of days and yes it’s time for a crack at this fimming instead of a room in. Good to hear your advice with the experience you got. Will water to run off and get back to you with some figures. Will b in next day or so. Cheers again.
