Bad seeds from ilgm?

I have had ILGM replace seeds twice once Banana kush and then bruice banner. They gave me credit the first time, and second time mailed me the same strain. You have to answer some questions ĺike your germination process.

Lol yeah idk. The ones from the dispencery i got had no issues imma try that again sometime and maybe try a different breeder. Tried the hydrogen poroxide method a day ago no sprouts at all, not even a tail. So ill bury em and see what happens.

I had a problem with a few duds but they replaced them. Problem was a few of the replacements were also duds and they only replace once per order, which is totally understandable! We did go back and forth and came to a good resolution. Top notch customer service. I ordered again from them and the blueberry seed has insane genetics and is a monster. Don’t give up on them just yet!

ILGM. I might get some from friends as well.

We see this frequently. I would say 90% is the grower’s technique for germination.

Don’t feel bad buddy I’ve been having a difficult time these last few weeks with seeds myself. Feel like I’ve been doing everything correctly. Even adopted the h202 system got a few to pop finally they have been in the soil for about 3 days now but still nothing popping up probably a user error not too certain :man_facepalming:t4::man_facepalming:t4::face_exhaling: Good luck growing though wishing u better luck :raised_hands:t4::pray:t4:

A trick I just used on some 4 year old seeds and they germinated was too take the seed before you put any liquid on them and to scrub them around in a 0000 steel wool pad for a few seconds. The idea is to scratch the surface of the seed to help it absorb water and get the germination process started.

These were seeds from ILGM!

Yeah just the super skunk autos and jack herer autos and white widows autos especially which is like tiny tiny seeds. Idk tryijg that 2/3 water and 1/3 3 percent hydrogen poroxide. Seemed to help with 1 outta 3 seeds, i did manage to pop a few seeds by butying them directly in soil but pretty small sprouts

I gotcha yeah ill keep tryijg with what i got left wanna do 4 plants

Wishing you luck to, that method with hydrogen poroxide seemed to help me out a bit as well as butyijg them directly in soil

I gotcha ill look into getting some. Sounds pretty delicate process though to

not really a delicate process. the seed has a hard shell. just don’t go crazy on it. just a few seconds of twirling it between your thumb and index finger with the seed wrapped in the steel wool. you can find the 0000 steel wool in most any hardware store I imagine. the idea is that the tiny abrasions it causes allows the water to penetrate the hard shell.

I also put my seeds into a root cube, pointy end of the seed down, that go into a plastic tray with a dome. I keep the inside of the dome moist with a spray bottle and as soon as I see the seed cracking open I put the root cube in the final pot. I still keep a clear dome on it and moistened but the tap root will start the plants life in the medium it’s going to grow in. I’m using FFOF this time around and my current grow is thriving in it.

I saw someone say the same thing w some sandpaper. Roll it up like you’d roll a bill  pinch one side drop em your seeds in pinch the other end n give er a lil shake

yessir, that would work also

Sounds awsome also i have some good news, so i tried a few processes and ill name them

  1. 2/3 water, 1/3 3 percent hydrogen poroxide, with heatijg pad set to 90. i managed to get a tap root from 1 out of 3 seeds after 48 hours, idk how it is rn gave it to my brother assume it kinda worked
  2. Planting seeds directly in the pot and watering, i have planted 4 white widow autos in 4 2 gallon pots, they all popped after around a week after planting. Seems all fine so far, this is the option that ive seen the most sucess from, its not my prefered method but it worked for all 4.
  3. Placing in water for 48 hours or longer, i dont recommend doing this with ilgm seeds they love to rot when this method is used. At least do option 1 instead of this.

Ill give that a try for my other ilgm seeds, i do have sandpaper but its not flexible so id have to buy some new ones.

I use an emery board and drag the seed down it once or twice. Works to prevent helmet-head too.

Ill gove that a try if my seedlings dont make it forgot to make sure i flushed the soil so my soil wasnt to hot when i put seeds in

Get some seed starting media. Or straight coco/perlite.

What is helmet head?:rofl: I’m taking a guess it’s when the seed sprouts out of the dirt with the shell still on it?

That’s it.
