So just getting into the world of grow. Could use some seeious help with information from those who hold the real knowledge.
So i planted my first set of seeds 7/29/25 and got my first taproot. I printed my own version of the cannakan amd use part water part peroxide.
Then transferred 4 into fox farm ocean and 3 into coco. Only bacuse someone told me i shouldnt do ocean but at that point it was to late.
I’m along for the journey
Good luck
Welcome to the forum , following along also wishing you smashing success, and problems just ask we either have an answer or know someone who has an answer
Welcome aboard.
Welcome to the forum @Seedlingz . Starting off in coco and soil you might need to pay close attention to your pH levels of watering. I know coco likes to be around 5.8-6.0. I believe the FF will want a little more around 6.5? Someone else will chime in. Good luck! Whole forum is here to help.
Appreciate it guys so i ran into an issue yesterday and they all ended up wilted and looking horrible was told by slmeone to remove the domes and pit the fan on low and it almost killed them all. Came home from work put them back in there domes and watered them and they pumped right back up all looking good now except one. I think one is gone for good. I also hopked up the vivosun h09 himidfier which hopefully helps in the long run
Welcome to the forum and wishing you great success on your new journey. You’ve found a great place with a wealth of knowledge from some awesome growers.
The FFOF can be a bit “hot” for seedlings but there are many here who use the medium with no issues. You can find plenty of info on the subject using the forum search feature.
Following along for the fun!!
Just be sure not to over water, especially at the seedling stage. By far the biggest mistake in this hobby.
This cannot be stated enough when starting out. I believe from experience, that a soaked seed has enough water to last a few days. After that the seedlings should be watered just out of roots reach to encourage growth. I killed seeds for a good 6 months overwatering.
Im here and ready to help
On the 31st they were transferred to cups. They been in there ever since ive given them no nutes and hitting them with distilled water when they need watered. So as i mentioned i came home after being told to pull the domes off and turn the fan on and this is what they looked like. This happened 8/4/25
I immeditely pulled them from tent watered about 15 to 20ml each with distilled water put domes back on raised gumidity back to 70 closed tent and let them recoup. This is what they look like as of this morning 8/5/25 5:30am
That was definitely underwatered. Keep your domes for now. I usually let them get 2-3 nodes. During that time i only spray the domes and maybe water out away from the stem. A ring around the edge of the leaves is good. The roots will nearly mimic the footprint of the leaves at this point. If we water just outside the root, the root will sense moisture and reach out for it. This in turn will help to build the root system to support and sustain the plant. They seem to be recovering.
Welcome to the happy place @Seedlingz
Looks like you and the Growmies have everything back on track. Not all is lost with ur bag of FFOF. Just mix it 50/50 with some coco, throw in another scoop of perlite, and you’ll have a great starter blend.
Good luck and stay lifted
The seedlings in coco will need some daily watering not much but unlike soil it’ll dry very fast. The coco will also need nutrients and suggest feeding them around 500-600 PPMs
Do this when you have time to be there to monitor and a little at a time. Ex. Take them off for about an hour the first time then a little longer each time so they can slowly adjust. Ideally have the humidity level in the tent above 60%, around 70 is best. I’d leave them on for another week or so before starting to do this or when the leaves are close to touching the sides of the domes. I’m a fan of leaving them on when I water and just water in a circle around them. Reduces the chance of stem rot. Misting the inside of the domes and only watering when the medium is pretty dry is the best practice, as mentioned above by others. What OG says about the coco watering practices is really good advice.
Re-reading I see you are keeping the humidity up in the tent
be careful when transplanting autos. don’t touch the roots, transplant when soil is dry
