Bro, those look great! Not sure about the net conundrum as I like to take my plants out to water and tent to spin them alot. But either way you’re definitely doing it right!
They have grown to conform the 3x3 I can’t spin them lol!
Looking great in there brother!. For me the net is way worth it. My plants go in the tent, and stay there until harvest. In my case i have access because of back and front doors. Just be sure you can still do your maintenance. Yes, can be a pain but can also be more beneficial
Looking great in there! I also don’t use nets, and I take my plants out every night for feedings and I look them over very closely. I’m paranoid enough already, if I couldn’t pull them out I’d lose my mind, lol.
Plants look great! A net is definitely a commitment. They seem a little big to be starting a scrog, but maybe just a wide-grid support type net like they do in second tier netting?
Dude I second that! Haha! I did leave both corners open, to each fan can move air to one another(top fan and under canopy fan) 4 fans total. Who knows. Some strains will tolerate anything some just don’t… time will tell haha.
Exactly, I just need it for support, don’t need to flopping into each other. The scrogg just kinda came if I was ready or not, didn’t even try.
Yeh, they’re wall to wall already! No need to spread them out any further!
And another reason I don’t use nets is that I don’t cut up my plants at harvest, I hang them whole. I’ve never tried it, but I wouldn’t imagine it’s easy to get the plants out of the nets without cutting branches.
I also wondered how and the hell im gonna get them out of the net when the time comes… probably just cut the net… idk. My biggest priority right now is keep pests away and staying healthy.
These are the largest plants iv grown in such a small area and they are still young…
They are looking fantastic! I have my plants on some carts with the ability to have a net and remove them from the tent. If you are in a 3x3(?) you can probably reach everywhere inside the tent from the 2 doors. I did not put a second net on my plants I recently harvested and they collapsed all over themselves late in flower. I ended up using cord and clothes hangers to support everything from the ceiling for the last couple weeks.
Looking good!! That’s gonna be some fine flower!
I unfortunately don’t have access to the sides, but I can reach the back from the front soo, it works… I do but I don’t want a big grow… alot to keep up with.
Plants look great , Personally I don’t think a net is going to help you , space is full wall to wall. I like being able to take my plants out of tent feed drip out Prune rotate plants back into tent. Thanks for the tag good luck.
@MidwestGuy i know you have used jacks for a few years now. Do you cut calcium nitrate back in mid flower? I feel that much nitrogen is not needed? Leading to less dense buds? How would that affect the calcium needs? If you wouldn’t mind sharing your experience?
My goal to just keep them from falling into each other. Causing problems, that might not happen? That was my original thought, but I have one ready to go if needed! You’re welcome for the tag! Always appreciate the feedback
I bought one I haven’t used yet. I always have conflicting feelings on whether to install one. More regrets when they start to fall over mid flower.
I know! I’m like ughhhhh!
Bamboo sticks also work great for support on heavy colas. Also install sticks at a angle pull limbs over an use small tiewraps for better light penetration.
Good luck
I seldom use a net. But when I do it is the thin nylon string type. At harvest I just cut the net out of the plant, before cutting down the plant. This can be tricky to keep the all of branches upright until the plant can be cut. Since this picture, I have learned that adding a little silica to the mix strengths the stems enough that a net is not needed. Now I only lose a very few lower branches due to the weight of the buds. These branches probably could have been trimmed out anyway.
Looks awesome man!!
