I am getting ready for my second grow. I’m doing it this time around with coco coir and 30% perlite. Got the coco buffering now. I am going to put these in a 4x4 this time and am going to try to get 6 of them in there with better LST. I have dropped the FF Trio line and have jacks 321 on hand and will also be putting these in autopots.
A question on the nutes, are there any amendments I need to add with the Jacks 321 or is it a complete system on it’s own from seed to harvest?

I add cal mag and will also be using silica. Plan to use something in flower like big bud and overdrive. Using auto pots and coco also for the first time.
Hey Capt.Cola! are you going to be using the jacks 321? It has it’s own calcium amendment in the kit.
I suggest getting monopotassium phosphate (MKP) something like 0-52-34 as a flower booster to use once you get to the flowering stages. There’s an altered ratio for the Jack’s line if you do go that route once you’re there, and unfortunately I don’t remember what it is.
Otherwise, I have added silica because I’m in pure water, no coco or anything else.
I think I have seen MKP mentioned somewhere on here. Is the altered jacks schedule put out by Kootmed? Is the silica needed in coco/perlite?

Actually so is the Jack’s ratio w/ MKP in it.
I think it’s 2/2/1.2/2 but I also may be wildly wrong so don’t take my word for it.
Why are you wanting to add silica?
I’m running jacks and still use cal mag and plan to use silica. You don’t want a cal/mag deficiency. And the silica is used to help build the plants stems. As for a different ratio you should ask @Not2SureYet or @Nicky. Both auto growers who use auto pots in coco. Don’t know what everyone is running now but I believe both have experience with Jack’s as well.

Fishshit is your best bet for a microbe product as Hellraiser has shown it is cheaper and beats out tribus.

Jacks 321 until your finished training or lst and tribus original or great white shark
Once your are done training or lst add some silica with your jacks.
When you flip to flower fir the next three weeks I use jacks 222 and 1.2 mkp (mono potassium phosphate) and silica.
After 3 weeks is over back to jacks 321 and silica.

Thanks all! @Nicky The schedule your showing, so I understand veg feed, I understand flower feed. At what point am I using the MKP booster portion of that schedule? And is MKP booster different than MKP?
Same thing. MKP is a flowering booster. Use it when you go into flower and all throughout, at least that’s what I’m doin’.

Mkp is pretty pricey for how little they give you ( just bought a bag next time get the 3 pounder ) it’ll still probably last me a year though lol. Fun fact about fish shit you only ever really need to use it once then after that I recommend every grow mix half old with half new and you just transfered the microbe colonies. I also add molasses and Mr fulvic and Zeus juice to a weekly feeding and just started them on silica from dyna( though I’ll probably switch to a more economical bottle when it’s through). I also give each pot 3 shakes of this
Mkp is used as a booster in the first 2 weeks of flower… It boosters your PK ratio.
Not really to sure how effective it is but I’ve seen two great sources of information provide this information and it’s generally accepted among the jacks community who wish to use boosters.
Start mixing in other things and it gets complicated so let someone with a better chemistry background then me and you do that, we can just test to see if it works.
My question has always been do I do it the moment I flip lights so 2 weeks of transition or 2 weeks after flip of actual flower…
So I’m. Just going to run it from flipping lights to week 2 of flower for a total of 4 weeks on my next grow until I can get an answer one day. Lol
I bought mkp bulk, I don’t like buying nutrients off amazon because they tend to not be cheaper.
I found an online hydro supplier and buy bulk chems from him. Mkp is more pricey but you use sooooo little of it each grow it doesn’t really matter I find.
Just ordered all three amendments. silica, fish sh!t and MKP. Hopefully will get my seeds started tomorrow. If not, definitely Thursday. 4x4 tent is put together. Hopefully get started moving into that tomorrow.
