Autopot help! Off to a bad start?

The name Coco Loco is catchy but very misleading. Maybe FF tried a little too hard to be cute with this name. They are very good at marketing by their product’s names.

It’s a blend with better drainage and not the issues with PH like the FFOF or HF have. Has worked great for me over the last several years :love_you_gesture:

Roots soil is very similar to coco loco. It also holds a very stable ph, and is very easily to read when running out of nutrients. It will show a nitrogen shortage first, and then a calcium next. So at the first sign of nitrogen shortage you know to start feeding. Really no need for the calendar countdown. I am sure the same may hold true for the Coco Loco as well.

That definitely makes me feel better! Looks very nice!

Build a soil has some videos on you tube where Jeremy grows in autopots of living soil. He had some issues that he overcame. Growing in a larger 30 gallon bed of living soil is very different than growing in small autopots. Organics can work in the autopots. Lots of trial and error I’m sure. If I was to go organic in an autopot i would use the new autopot tray2grow system.
Thats a beautiful Gelato @OGIncognito :v::green_heart::dash:

Appreciate that Grow Sis, I have several of the old style auto pots (plastic). The spring pots and fabric bags work so much better. Root air pruning was the contributing factor to larger plants and yields :love_you_gesture:

That makes sense. The air pruning along with breathable pot would definitely be beneficial. I’ve been debating using the tray2grow system with cloth pots on the porch for my veggies, in addition to my earthboxs.

Pretty cool system. :sunglasses:

That it is, I’ve been checking this set up out for about 6 months. This would definitely feed the regs in smaller pots I’ve been growing waiting on the sex to show. On another note we moved all our tropicals inside last week and feeling like I’m sleeping in the jungle :joy::joy::love_you_gesture:

One wall in my bedroom

Beautiful brother! I would sleep like a baby in there. Heres my bedroom.

I also keep my sour dough starter in here because its the warmest room in the house, aside from the grow room

I’m gonna have to figure out something for my clones. I’ll be out of town in a few weeks and am currently trying to figure out where my plants needs will be at that time for my plant sitter. Wish I already had that system already. Lemme know if you get it, though I’m sure I’d notice eventually :dash::grin::v::green_heart::call_me_hand:

I love a slice of warm sour dough bread, damn I’m salivating and wanting a slice now :joy:. How long will you be gone? I’ve filled the bottom of this 1” tray a few times when I had to make road trips recently with these 3 Kona Gold clones. They’re ready for a transplant but I have no where to put them. Love the ivy, we’re big fans here :love_you_gesture:

That got me hungry too, for sourdough bread. I love a good sour dough bread
I’ll be gone about 1.5 weeks. Luckily my earthbox’s in the flower tent have an auto watering system hooked up.

Geez, I need to get the lower shit trimmed up today.
Our conversation reminded me of this thing I picked up a while back for dirt cheap. I intended to use it for outdoor porch plants when I go camping. I forgot all about it. Very similar to the auto tray2grow system, different brand. I’m gonna check it out with my solo cup clones

Thanks for unintentionally reminding me about it

Sorry for hijacking this thread @Brian384 i be quite now :dash::wink:

My stomach’s growling like a tiger now :joy::muscle:. I’ve often wondered how well that easy to go kit works. Send me a review please. Have a great day Sis :love_you_gesture:

I have the fabric pots as well but in my house it’s easier to add humidity than remove it. Do you use the airdomes in the fabric pots too?

No worries at all!!!

I used the plastic pots with the air bases only last grow. This time I added the air domes, and they seem to make a difference. The last time the a couple of the plants appeared overwatered at times. With the fabric bags there won’t be as much benefit with the air domes.
In your case, I think you will be OK without them for this grow. Especially if you introduce a dry cycle ounce or twice a week.

Ok. I’ve seen people with the fabrics use them and some people don’t. I used the plastic pots this time with airbase and domes. Lower humidity although I did want to use my fabrics. I had a hard time with humidity in flower last grow. Now that the heat is on my lung rm is 40% RH. Should work out good as far as flower goes. I’m doing my dry cycle now. Just now cleaned all the tanks and trays. Maybe wait a few days and add recharge or fish crap another dry then open valves. I suppose I’ll keep this run. Next run definitely pure coco. Thanks!

I used those once and honestly couldn’t tell a difference :love_you_gesture:

You have mentioned humidity problems a couple times. The Coco Loco may not release as much moisture as pure coco.
I also have a lung room at 65 degrees and 40% humidity. I thought this would be cool enough to seal up the tent for co2 injection, and it was cool enough. But the humidity is killing me. The coco releases so much moisture that it goes above 75% in a short time. I have the controller set to run the exhaust and intake fans at 65% or 70%. When it just the pots without the reservoir the fans cycled every 30 mins. When turning on the reservoir it cycled every 15 minutes. When turning on the air domes it went to 7 minutes per cycle.

Have a small dehumidifier on order. If this doesn’t work it will be back to full time ventilation.
