A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks
“Here’s another question when dealing with autoflower. Hopefully, anyone will be able to help me. I started some autoflower exactly 70 days ago. There was a time of about 3 weeks in April we didn’t have any sun. The plants suffered big time. I want to let them grow as much as possible, because they are not quite there. Can I make that time up by just letting them go another 3 weeks? The plants are also turning purple. When would you pick them if it was up to you? Remember, they are autoflower I know they have an internal clock. I can see them daily if needs be to make sure bud rot doesn’t set in. Your help would be greatly appreciated.”
purple colouring will no doubt be caused buy the drop in temps that cost you 3 weeks… as for letting her flower more… the time stated for growing auto’s is merely a guideline if you want to TRULY know when she is ready to harvest look at the trichomes clear trichomes leave her alone… 90% Milky 10% amber if you want a mellow body high and well after that the more amber the better i like 50/50 myself
the only real way to see if they are done is to check the trichomes… You will need a jewelers loupe of magnifier to see them…
Most people try for about 80% cloudy, 20% amber. But it is all personal preference. More amber will give more “couch lock”… Letting them go to long will weaken the THC…
@Stash any chance of seeing a pic… It could just be a late bloomer. There is no “set” time on autos, mother nature still has the final say… And what strain is it…
