Week #6 for my Green Poison Autoflower. Almost time to start mixing and feeding nutes.
2x2x4 tent
130 watt led
FFOF soil
Seeds from Seedsman as Sweet Seeds Green Poison
Week 6 from seed? looks to be about in the first week of full flower. Start ur countdown (bout 7-8 to go)
@PurpNGold74 yeah…she sprouted Nov 25th and its been 40 days since. It is an XL autoflower that said 56 days from seed. I started the FF nutrition mix today and hopefully about 2 or 3 weeks from actual buds. I was under the impression that harvest was 56 days from seed.
Breeders are NOTORIOUS for flat out lying about seed times. Your typical auot vegs about a months and flowers for just under 2 (8-9 weeks). If you are going to chop in 3 weeks, you will have very immature impotent buds.
Try to make it closer to 6-7 more and I PROMISE youll be rewarded handsomely
@PurpNGold74 thank you for the advice. I will certainly keep it going longer to avoid an immature harvest. This is my first plant so im trying to show restraint with the grow lol. My other companion plant turned out to be a male so I had to scrap that one.
I grew a couple of the exact same strain/breeder this past summer. I kept them outside the whole time. I completely agree with @PurpNGold74 in that the times listed by breeders til harvest are usually WAY off. IMO the best way is to keep an eye on your trichomes and go by that.
There’s just so many different things that affect the timing of a grow and you have to remember that these breeders are growing in $10,000 growrooms so not much goes wrong to slow the grow. The other thing is that they want you to buy their seeds over the other thousand places selling seeds so they tell you their seeds are better than all the other ones. It’s just like the led light companies you can’t believe anything they say.
Your plants look healthy and happy so keep doing what you’re doing and remember that you will only be cheating yourself out of weight and quality if you cut em to early. Magnification of the trichomes is your best way to tell when they’re ripe, but remember handling they makes your fingers smell really good but it’s hell on the trichomes and they are your best friends good luck
@LandShark and @MeEasy thank you both for looking out!! I think my best course of action is to continue to post photos and be guided by what the community says. I’m definitely not looking to cheat myself out of a good grow and while excited, I can be patient lol.
Do you have anything for looking at the trichomes? If not, you should absolutely consider it. For as little as $10 you can pick up something with 40x - 60x magnification. It’s a great learning tool that will pay for itself in telling you when to harvest vs guessing.
Gotcha!!! Ordering it now from Amazon
@Razor557 this is the one I bought if you’re curious what others use. Of course there’s a thousand out there, this one is wired and doesn’t need internet to work but most people like the wireless
I have one like this also, it’s great!
@MeEasy and @LandShark i took a couple of pics with the camera you recommended and its amazing what she looks like under magnification. Thanks for the recommendation.
Nice @Razor557 don’t play with it to much, touching your plants make your fingers smell pretty but it’s awfully hard on the trichomes and trichomes are your best friends because they carry around all of that THC you love
Very nice!
