Auto flowers: can your Top? SCROG? Any sort of LST?

Hello friends! This is my first set of Autos. I am growing ILGM GG, Ban, GSC beans. They are 4 weeks since seed and have about 4 full sets of nodes. I am using a drip irrigation hydro set up, feeding with Athena nutrient system.

Can I Top and SCROG? Or LST with trying? How can I increase my trike through manipulation?

Welcome, growing autos you’re on a limited time clock growth wise, so I don’t top but I do employ LST. You’ll need to do some work to maintain growing those so close together. Autos can and do get big depending on strain. You might be tight in there.:v:

I’m doing a little test for my own. Quad. I’ve done it this way on photos for years, autos you gotta move quick, while tiny/fragile.
You have to know your skills, I’ve butchered plenty, start small.

My Autos never need training as they have done it themselves like this this one.

Only fed her once on top of it.

Only did two auto’s lost one in a freak accident (hanging fan fall on it) I topped it once(about 4th or 5th node) an LST didn’t seem to bother it much just took a few days to recover. The other I just LST an cut the bottom branches that wasn’t getting much light just took a while to bounce back. It’s really up to you just don’t do to much at once give them time to bounce back. I would treat them the same as photos auto’s just have a time limit so gotta start early

Nice set up brother, HST and LST on my current autos. Last run with this method netted me over 10 zips dry from 4 auto skittlez. These are 2 out the 6.

Nice, That just a straight, no topped, HST/LST to horizontal?

Topped them once they hit the 6th node and top back between 4-5. Give it a few days to recover and I bend them over 90 degrees and start pinning the sides down once the growth is long enough. I always pin the fan leaves down to expose these while I’m waiting. Here’s a finished auto skittlez that pulled a little over 2 zips dry :love_you_gesture:

Nailed it on starting quick, usually around week 2.5 above ground works for me. Gives it enough time to heal before pre-flower.

Seems a whole lot easier than my Photo quad line approach. Well I’ll have some results in a few months anyway. What’s there about 60 tops on that, I don’t think ill hit that on my quad.

Actually got 2 of those going too. Trying a photo and auto run in the same closet. Manifold on a White Widow Photo, more like a quad you mentioned and trying it on a Northern Lights auto in a small veg tent . Gonna look up your journal and tag along. Will be cool to trade off tips :love_you_gesture:

Wow how only 2 zips. I’ve pulled between 3 nd 5 off all my autos only 1 did I have a bit over 2 but she was stunted bad and took month and a half longer than it should have been. It was a bad plant to keep around after the start but I got it to the finish line. Only auto I had with solid buds but they were not all that great. If u plan on last as said start early like topping at the 4thnor 6th node when 6 are available. Figure out a plan of attack now do u wanna top from or just lst and hst them. If top I’d start at 6 nodes and go down to 3 or 4 leave a half inch of stem show where u top to keep the area stronger and not splitting on u. 8 plants in auto form is gonna most likely have u pushing 2 plants out of there for some room. So u know if u drop and ilgm w.w autos only a couple to a few in a smaller space as every w.w. auto I grew so far got to be 4 to 5 feet round and same tallness just loaded with bud sites. Was a pain to keep shit up when buds started to fatten up good 2 plants filled my 4x4 spare bathroom when I usually get. 4 in there

Not sure if this is meant for me or him. I think we had this conversation awhile back. 2 zips off a plant in a 2.5 gallon pot. Sure you’re in 5 or 7. I can successfully grow 6 autos in my small closet, it’s tight and a lot of training but I get there. Of course the occasional snapping of branches happen :love_you_gesture:
