I plan to move them to outdoors in the next two weeks (just honestly prefer outdoor grow) but we also plan to grow indoors as well. We just haven’t had any luck yet. Could someone let me know if these look stunted at all?
At 70 degrees thats a little low for vegging plants and can slow down growth in the winter months here i have a slow growth problem due to battling low temps 75-80 is a good temp for them and as well as what @Myfriendis410 said watch how much you are watering smaller plants you can drown out roots fairly easy and that will also slow down growth
Thanks! We are in the midwest so it has been cold and they’re in the basement… with a fan to the outside… I also put the wrong light up. I will have to fix that as that was our old one. I am terrible about watering in a tent and never really know what to do about it. I’ve read to water them fully and wait until its dry again… is that right?
Yes and no it all depends on the medium i know your in Ocen Forest what i personally like to do when watering smaller plants is actually measure how much each plant is getting for i do water more frequently but i also dont like over saturating the soil especially in plastic pots as they hold moisture alot longer than a fabric pot does also heres a my current run they are about to be 5 weeks old in a couple days and are around the same size as yours they too habe been in a basement with cooler temps in the high 60s low 70s
I’m in Colorado at 7,100 feet and grow in the basement. Those cooler temps can slow plants as stated and I run my exhaust at 79F with it dropping to 64F at night. Here’s my last two currently:
Two transplants in 6 weeks will slow them for sure. As will low temps and poor lighting conditions. Sounds like these are most likely the reason your plants are a little behind.
Here I have runtz auto an purple punch. Ilgm fertilizer with just potting soil temp in low 80 during day 73 ish at night an humidity 46 to 50 In the 6 week mark… don’t give up on them mine look scraggly
Is the light mentioned the old one and if so what other light do you have or plan to get?
The light you mention in the first post is only 120watts and as @Chalkie said:
@Xzlinx What about the temperature of the tent floor? Is the soil staying warm?
Any possibility of cold concrete underneath the tent is making its way into the pots?
Seedlings in something like a solo cup. These are half gallons I believe then I usually place them in their final pot. Haven’t had any issues for outdoor grows like this so just followed what I’ve been doing. Should I start my seedlings in this half gal pot, let them grow till roots show at bottom and then transfer to the final 5/7 gallon oxypot? Thanks for your response!
