Are both these seedlings doomed?

I suspect both these seedlings are damping off but they seem to still be growing and haven’t keeled over yet and the stems have looked like this for about a week.

Don’t look doomed to me. I’ve managed to grow some pretty sad looking seedlings. Those look like they could use more light

Do look a little streched, but i dont do hydro. Others will give better advice. My seedlings always grow slow first couple weeks while rooting rhen explode.

Yeah a few days ago I upped the lighting and they seemed to like that. I turned the light to 100 percent and raised it to 24 inches above them as stated by the manufacturer.

As soon as I upped the lighting I saw better growth and they seemed happier but that’s also about the same time I noticed the bottom of the root looking questionable.

Thanks @Reed71 I usually do soil and can’t recall any of my seedlings ever looking this frail, being my first go at hydro I may have freaked myself out haha

1st pic plant looks doomed Grow Bro, appears to have dampening off effects and likely will die, brace the second one up with more hydroton :love_you_gesture:

UPDATE

Both plants are starting to take off, but still no roots coming out of the net pots. Even the smaller plant which showed signs of dampening off seems to be making a comeback? I plan to keep top feeding the bigger plant until roots reach the water.

UPDATE

Not sure if anyone cares but from thinking I was going to lose both plants to dampening off to where they are at now speaks to how good the genetics must be.

For the first time I decided to give each plant its own light but decided I was gonna use a 2 bulb t5 fixture for one plant and my regular LED light for the other. Will be interesting to see the effects on growth of the t5 .

T5 light has Zkittlez OG auto under it and Froot by the foot auto is under the LED.

Looking good Growmie but the T5 is going to seriously affect that plant in flower unless it’s a full spectrum fixture. Even then it won’t have the intensity needed to fully develop and ripen the buds. I’m all in to tag along and wish you well :love_you_gesture:

Yeah I only threw it over that plant because I already had it laying around and figured it was better then trying to share one light for both plants.

But I do have a viperspectre reef led light from an old reef tank I used to have set up. I know it’s geared for more of the blue spectrum needed by corals but you can turn down the blues and keep the whites and reds so maybe I should just experiment with that instead

Only problem I’m running into now is that with growing in dwc the one plant is growing like crazy and is really close to my 100 watt led light and is getting burnt. I cannot raise my light any further so should I just leave it and write off the main cola or should I just turn down my light to say 75 percent and see if that saves the top cola from burning/ bleaching?

Supercrop it.

UPDATE*

Apparently I was good this year cuz I got a new 6ft tent from Santa which eliminates my problem with the light being to close and she is looking super happy with it!

First go with DWC and only 4th grow ever and this is the happiest my plants have ever looked in flower!

Down she comes! Went through and only harvested the upper colas and am going to give the lower buds more time and see if they ripen up more. @OGIncognito @Storm @Reed71 @Riskguy @StonedCold13 @cc014572
