Aphids after harvest and bud wash

Hi all, my last two plants were harvested over the past few days. I did a bud wash with peroxide after, but there are a lot of aphids coming back. I didn’t think they would after the plant died but they seem worse on one than they were before I harvested. Can I don another bud wash? Any other thoughts?

Technically you could wash again but it only rids the surface of debris/dead bugs etc.

I’m not sure that there is a good way to approach this. I’m not sure who to tag.

Maybe one of these farmers will have some advice

They are exiting the material as it dries. The only thing that comes to mind is to freeze the buds to kill them and make hash.

Thanks for the tag, but I’m drawing a blank here. :man_shrugging:

Thank you all. I decided not to do another wash. Most of the aphids were on the stems and big leaves. We did a wet trim then used a portable air compressor to blow them off and smashed all the ones on the stems. I also cleaned the shed of all the plant material. They look pretty good right now. Hopefully it stays that way

I just cut, hang to dry, and, yes, they leave the dead material and head to the top of the drying branch. You simply kill them with whatever you have as they congregate at the top of the cut branch, but you need to do a bud wash before to rid the buds of the dried exoskeletons of the buggers

Thank you for this! They are looking pretty good right now after what we did.
