Anyone else in Ohio getting the big Rot

Anyone else getting major bud rot in ohio. I usually grow indoors and bit outdoors but never had this kind of rot. Any thoughts or preventative measure i would welcome

Hey @Rockhoover I’ve been there too. Dealing with bud rot. Here’s what I did to manage it.

  1. Trim your plants, start at the bottom and work your way up. Open up. So air can get to your plants.
  2. Trim out the dead areas.
  3. Make some diluted H2O2. Using 3% hydrogen peroxide dilute 1 part H2O2 and 2 parts distilled water. :sweat_drops: Clean your plant with solution. Dot the entire plant as spores are blown around.
  4. If you can put a fan on the plant and dry completely. I had a water proof 6” exhaust fan that I used. I also added a floor fan last year for emergency situations.

Small cost to save your bud$.

I’ve seen lots of other post about bud rot the last couple weeks. All that rain at a bad time.

I went indoors a while back and haven’t had any major outbreaks. I do keep the exhaust fan going 24/7 and am currently adding a 4” exhaust fan to supplement the 6”. Being indoors replacing the air also provides a steady supply of CO2.

Its a roll of the dice. The peroxide suggestion is a good one. Another would be to shake off the dew every morning or if your ocd like me, get a leaf blower, and blow them off.

I’ve lost over a pounds worth of buds so far. I am harvesting some every day just to make sure I have good bud.

Same for me here. More bud rot is showing each day.

find "bio safe systems "… product is "Zertol hc or Zerotol 2.0. The 2.0 is stronger, but only used on “large plants”. This company’s products are for HEMP AND CANNABIS. when you all read about what these 2 products do to give you a mold and mildew free harvest and what it can also do, yer gonna crap. All of the stuff they sell for cannabis and hemp are OMRI certified. the stuff is awesome. if it’s too late this year to save yer stuff, try to find this locally. They are in Hartford, Conneticut.
,seriously think about it. it saved my grow. I live in Oregon, and it can get wet pretty early in sept. sometimes. Which usually starts mold and mildew here. And i’m not a spokesperson for these dudes. i use that stuff religiously . hope this will help
