I’m often heard people say that they hang there plant’s upside down roots included, that the roots also contain goodies that drain through the plant, I never done but curious if its myth or actually facts

@Nip I haven’t heard of this method before. I have heard of at least 24 hours of darkness before your trim helps force all the remain “goodies” to your buds. I do a wet trim hang upside down by their branches to dry. Then do a little dry trimming when they are done and ready for mason jars. I hang them upside down after harvest. Just because it’s convenient. I highly doubt it causes anything good to work it’s way down into the buds.

i would think the only read advantage would bebto slow the drying time. It would definitely do that, and you dont want a fast dry.

I can tell you my experience. I harvested my female on July 10th. I didn’t do the darkness, I was a bit rushed. But will do it on next harvest.
I did a wet trim. I cut the tree at soil level, and hung it in a drying tent for about 6 days. Hanging with or without roots is totally acceptable, but with the root ball being so compact and big, it’s hard to wash out…which you would have to do to hang with roots.
But it can certainly be done. Hope that helps.

I concur.
That being said, the few times I’ve dry trimmed, the end result was a bit more “scented”. Although, I can’t say as I noticed a significant impact on effect.

@Ah-hee…DRY TRIM??? Please can you give more detail, I get so many girls by trim time it is just a massive undertaking oh, I get to the point where the end of the trim is very sloppy and just not interested in doing it anymore. I had an old-timer tell me hey just freeze it trim it as it comes out, freeze it? Dry it then freeze it cuz I know if you freeze it when it’s still wet it comes out and it’s just mush …personal experience here LOL…
@Teri yes I do a final review of my buds after I do a wet trim and let them hang dry. So once the buds are ready for the jars I cut the buds of the stems and clean them up, I call this dry trim because the buds have been hang drying for days. I have a buddy who have a bud trimming machine, not sure how much they cost though. I like doing it by hand so I have control over my buds shape and also can save what I want from the trimmings better in my opinion. Everyone has their own method to their madness! Nice looking Buds, seems to work well, I Always heard about people hanging plants upside down roots and all so I definitely think they’re some truth in it, I have a big harvest coming and I want to dry it right, it will be my stash until next grow season, I’m not set up for inside growing yet, I’m thinking about making a small room for the winter months
