I have those full spectrum led lights but 3 4’ 70 watt each and they work great right now I’m growing 3 autos in 5 gal plastic planters
I’m confused about the ph tester recommendations. Are we testing the ph level in water or in the soil?
Also, thanks @LateNightGardner and @DeeperDiveDave. I took the HPS light and the loud blower back and bought that Hyphotonflux light and an AC Infinity blower.

I use AC Infinitys exhaust setups. I have an 8in in theFlower room and a 6inch in the veg room. Good and quiet unless you crank em up and then it sounds like a jet taking off…
You’re testing the ph and ppm of the nutrient solution and plain water you are going to feed the plants. You also are testing the runoff from feedings @Dustydrors. You should keep everything between 6.2 and 6.5 ph for best results in soil. It’s a process that you’ll learn easily enough if you read some of the threads here about these things. Good luck.

I went ahead and bought the YINMIK pH tester. I’ll let you know how it works. The HPF4000 LED Grow Lights came in today and were a snap to setup. I have 3 seeds, freshly germinated and in Jiffy Peat pots ready to go under the lights. According to the guide, I will set the dimmer to 25% and raise it 48" above the top of the pots. Does that all sound right? Thanks again for all the great advice.

I was going to comment on the probes I’ve bought in the past that were junk but maybe this one works. The only way you could know for sure would be to buy one of those soil ph test kits at tractor supply or a garden center and see if the results are the close to the same. I’ve used the test kit when I grew in soil just to see how close a match it was to my ph meter. It was in the ballpark is all I can say. The ph meter is more accurate than a probe I’m sure @Dustydrors. I use about 100 watts at 18" away when I have the plants under the dome at first. I’ve found keeping the light close but not too close keeps them from stretching. That’s just how I do it and it works well for me. I’d say follow the guide and see what happens. If they get too leggy, move the light closer.

@LateNightGardner - I now have 3 seedlings in 3" Jiffy Pots under the Hyphotonflux HPF4000 LED Grow Lights. Do you use the lighting suggestions of 25% power at 48"?

I am using it now at that setting to re-veg one of my plants.
This is the third week now and it seems to be working. For seedlings this will work too.
I use a t5 florescent for my seedlings though just because I have a setup for that purpose.
For germination I use a deep red and heating mat.
