Hi, my variety is AK47 from ILGM. I carried them a few weeks long in veg stage. I am only 5 1/2 weeks into flowering and I have a bunch of indications they are ready to harvest: strong smell, 40% of the pistils are red, 5-10% of of my trichomes are amber and I am losing a lot of the big fan leaves. It all looks good, should I harvest?

Depend on what kind of high you looking for but toward the end the plant does eat it self from my understanding the fan leaves are the first to go I’m pretty new to this to let’s wait for some other opinion I’m sure others will tell u better then I can and some pics would be helpful too they can judge your plant better

That strain should go “about 53 to 63 days” according to the seed bank. Regardless of how long the plant vegged, I think you’d be shorting yourself by harvesting this soon.

It all depends on what your wanting from her. I would wait till trichs are 50% amber but personal choice. AK-47 takes quite a while to cure & i dont suggest making brownies with it, but after all said & done, a good smoke.

I looked at photos of mature plants last night. I think you are right on the money. I’m going to carry them till the first week of June and re evaluate.

I made a batch with my ak using an ounce. Boy did i get loaded but the taste was awful! I had only cured them for 2 weeks when i made them. Still have a lil ak left & still has a strong skunk taste. Dont like to vape with it due to extreme taste. But this is me & my preferences. I wont grow chemdog as i don’t like the taste.

Now if youre looking for a hard hitting indica hybrid, may i suggest crystal. East to grow, high yield & smooth taste right outta tent. Also extreme high tch & cbds.

They have a pretty potent odor to them for sure!!! I also have some Bubble Gum budding in the same tent —sweet sweet smell. The mix of the two is overwhelming!!!

I have seeds for indica, Afghan, white widow, banana kush and Bergman’s gold leaf. I’m trying to figure out what mix to grow for the next batch.

So far ive grown ak-47, amnesia haze & crystal. In tent now are skywalker, banana kush, la confidential & another amnesia hase.

You b kush will be short while the others grow tall. Im dealing with that problem now. All others towering over thekush.
Are all of those about the same size plant?

Good idea. Gold leaf can be a monster. Ive had to put a pan under the b kush so it gets same light. Had never grown any of these except amnesia, si live & learn
