Is this a good light for 3×3 tent? How far should I keep it from the plant? First time indoors. Seedlings are curling at leaf tips and feel kinda like paper. Temp is 77 humidity 25.soil dries out really fast .I put a pan of water in the tent but it dries up over night. Help please
Pictures always help. That light has about 400 watts with boom switch on it looks like. That’s enough power most likely. Humidity is low for sure, any access to a humidifier?
I have a little vicks vaporizer that has never had the menthol in it…would that work? It’s steam I think?
I can’t keep the soil damp for more than a couple hours. Have inline fan and filter and another fan in there…shitty bag seeds to get the hang of things inside
Thanks for replying
Try turning inline fan down so the air will stay in the tent longer keep humidity in at that stage don’t need much air movement yes humidifier men tiond will work if clean it will make a white dust unless you use ro water hope this helps those pots may also be pulling moisture from soil
Thanks! They aren’t happy for sure…maybe I’ll change the pots
I’m not 100% sure how that one runs but check the manual to see if it should use distilled water so it doesn’t leave particulates dusting in your grow space.
If there’s any other information you think will help out put it on up and you’ll have a whole team of people diving in
Thanks, I have a 600w MH/HPS as well but thought I’d try the LED route I haven’t done much indoor stuff other than starting them to put outside…I’ll keep y’all posted
Sweet. I have zero experience with any lighting but LED. Only been growing a couple of years. I’ll be one of the pros some day
Hey a think I might have they same Bick Vaporizer, It’s holds about a gallon of water, and the steam comes out warm ? Last about 8-10 hrs when filled up to max line. I put regular tap water in mind, DONT NOT add any salt in it you will get a white residue on your equipment
I would get some cloth pots and repot them myself. Then soakem and start a wet/dry cycle. You can lay water on them if needed in cloth. I am dry here myself and just water accordingly.
Unless your plants are flowering there is not a lot of need for a exhaust fan to be running.
The Aglex k2000 - Only consume 180 Watt true output with 320 LEDS! It saves up to 80% energy than other led grow lights. Suggest to hang height at 12"-32", Perfect coverage is 3x4ft at 22".
You will have to decide if that is enough light. More than likely not. 20 watts per sq ft with low quality diodes is very low.
Do what you can to increase RH. Reducing air exchange while the plants are small will help. As will adding a humidifier.
Should I get another one? They aren’t very expensive…I don’t know much about LED. Usually started with fluorescent and put them outside. Been wanting to get inside for a while and now have the space to do so.
Very general metric is for LED you want between 35-50 watts per sqft of canopy. The higher quality the light, the lower you can land on the power spectrum.
You really need to add another light like you have if your happy with it. Two of them would give you flower power. You have enough now for seedlings and early veg. Some folks like those pots and others swear up and down they poison plants. After all there is a 99% chance they are china junk and made from recycled waste products. Remember china loves selling westerners poison pet foods and treats. If you want air or cloth pots go for it. But there not needed for terrestrial plants at all. Air and cloth pots were developed years ago for space travel and growing on the moon and mars. All you really need is standard old no. 5 or 7 nursery pots with risers and saucers. And don’t over water. And you need to get your humidity up with gentle air movement around the plants. Good Luck!
Thanks! I changed pots and now humidity is 41 percent…I can already see a huge difference in them !!
