Aci self water wick bases

Hello all!
Last grow I used the ACI self water bases. The roots grew into the wicks and down into the res late into flower.

Question is how does one prevent roots from growing through 5 gallon fabric pof into the wicks and into the res? I’m planning on using them again this time with coco and lotus nutes directly into the water base.

I was watching something the other day that had the solution to your problem. The answer is autopot pot socks. They are inexpensive like 10$ for one that fits a 3-5g fabric bag. Good luck.
