So i ordered this grow tent set up and im not quite sure how to grow as of yet. I know it has most of what’s needed but my first question is, what other equipment may be needed to grow 6-8 female plants. Im also confused about how many plants to grow inside. 6-8 theoretically but what makes sense if I’m trying to yield about a pound from each plant and is that too much to look forward to?
That’s 5 plants in a 5x5 I generally do 4 due to over crowding. A pound a plant is setting your goals way to high. Some experienced grows don’t get that.
You’ll obviously need a great light, some fans for circulation, pH and PPM pens. This is what you can get by with but there are extras.
Thanks for responding, and nice set up you have there. I kinda figured i was aiming too high assuming the estimated yield of the seeds im looking to buy said 18-23 ounces. About the advanced kit by Ac infinity, 4x4 would be sufficient for 4 plants then im also assuming.
Yeah 4 is a more manageable area to be at. Seed companies and light companies blow the hype. Can the most experienced grower grow that sure. Can a first timer grow that probably not. Being your first time I would go with 2 strains because you’ll have a better chance of them having the same needs so your not chasing 4 plants as a first timer.
Excellent advice, that makes perfect sense. Last but not least, What step by step guide do you recommend?
You can check out the grow bible on ILGM. You can watch you tube videos and such. I honestly don’t recommend any step by step. This is gonna sound hippy and I’m stoned as hell so that’s funny… …
Here we go…
Everyone has a growing style. As you learn to grow you’ll pick up bits and pieces from anyone who has information. Essentially you learn what works for you and what doesn’t. You take advice but you research everything yourself. This is the Internet after all. You will learn as you grow by showing others what you see or pictures of what you don’t see. Throw data here and people will teach you how to read it, again your own research is advised. The more time you spend investing in your knowledge the better you will grow.
My best advise is your gonna have hiccups in grows don’t take them as end all be all. They happen and can range anywhere from a hermi to a completely lost pH or nute set up. Brush it off and move on to the next. Eventually you’ll have enough stock throwing a whole grow away won’t even matter.
@BigItch Well, high or not. you said that eloquently. Nice word, huh?
@Ed You will learn a ton of knowledge here. Go with the flow.
Definitely good info. I’m kinda skeptical because after the germinating process I’m lost but will do my best to watch several videos and coincide all information that adds up together. Thanks alot.
Invest more time in reading and watching info before dropping your beans or your gonna be stressed your whole grow. Decided what you want to grow in… coco, soil, hydro, If you want to grow organic, add nutes… a good plan will leave you less stress. Trust me this hobby can be over the top stressful when you are clueless and relying completely on others. You’ll get 10 answers all different and none of them are wrong for THEIR grow styles… always keep that in mind
