Ac infinity buffered coco

I bought some of this and it says it’s ready to go buffered w calcium. I am wondering if I still need to buffer with calmag or just add it when feeding. Thanks.

I didn’t know ACI was producing Coco. I would recommend reconstituting the coco and get a TDS reading. I would think an EC reading of .5 or more would show the coco has enough calcium to get started. Growing in coco and feeding daily to liberal run off will deplete this fairly quickly IMO and would recommend supplementing calcium :love_you_gesture:

If it’s in a brick you will still want to strain the coco powder out too after rehydrating. The peat or powder is no good

Right. I will strain it well but wanted to make sure I don’t need to rebuffer in calmag. I will add calmag to feedings.

Just hydrate it with a normal dose of calmag like you were just watering it for a plant.
It wont hurt it and it will only bond to any fibers that need it. When you water it the first time with a plant just water to runoff with your feeding which needs to be done from the start anyway. All plant food has calcium and magnesium in them too.
No need to worry about over doing it.
btw I find it much cheaper to buy coco from a local store. I can get 11kg blocks for 14 dollars.
Many stores nationwide are starting to carry coco. They aren’t about to miss out on the cannabis money even if they pretend not to be catering to us.
Been growing in coco for over 3 years now and I have never given calmag to a plant.
Buffering yes, feeding no.

I have not personally used it so I don’t really know. Personally I would probably do one soak in cal mag water just to be safe.
