It is matter of preference, and the effect your looking for. I harvest Indicas at first signs of amber, while sativa I wait longer. I look more towards the sativa buzz with slight relaxation.

I would, 8 wks from first buds is close, 8 weeks from flip, I’d give it another couple and check trichs again. Much better to cut a tad late than early!
