Hello all. I’m curious if anyone else is using this type of light schedule?
6 hours on & 2 hours off 3 times a day. 18/6 total.
I am using this with autos.
This is a graph of my room temps and humidity as it applies to the lights schedule.
What do y’all think?

There’s a whole bunch of different light schedules out there. If it helps maintain a consistent environment it won’t hurt anything.

That is my thought as well. I also found that my plants no longer have light fatigue and look droopy by the end of their day cycle.

I run this light schedule from the moment they are transferred into their forever homes around 12-15 days after germination and run until harvest.

Do you think this schedule would work with photos? I plan to start growing them again once I run out of auto seeds.

I do it all the time. Also a 5/3. Especially in winter for a smooth heat. No super cold offtime and no need of a heater. Lights handle it.

I think it’s called gas lantern, lol. It was originally researched way back in the times when farmers would come outside in the middle of the night to shoot animals that were eating their crops, and they carried lanterns so they could see. They noticed that the light from their lanterns was having an effect on their plants.
At least that’s what I think I remember reading.

I do not know this is above my pay grade sir.
I am interested though to see how it plays out. Create a grow journal with photos and try it brother.

That’s a good idea. This is my current journal. It’s unorganized and all over the place, lol.
I’m currently using this light schedule with the 4 autos I’m raising. Here’s the link.
Hello Resident Experts.
I’ve been growing for a few years now and I’ve always grown in Coco Coir (Mother Earth Coir with Perilite) in 5 gallon cloth pots. I’ve a pretty good run with that. I started with Photos and moved over to Auto’s. I run Spider Farmer SF-1000 (6) lights and I use Canna Coco nutrients.
I want to try my hand at Hydro.
I’m building my setup instead of buying it premade. I’m going to start with one/two plants and learn a little on them.
Setup will be the following:
