6-2 growth cycle, worked surprisingly well

Has any one tried the 6 hours of light and 2 hours of dark schedule?? I’m on it now and after a couple weeks I notice my plants look happier ,healthier ,and growing faster than ever.

So in theory the first 6 hours of light the plants will absorb the most light and after that they will slowly absorb less and be less efficient. And in resting the plants only need 2 hours to breakdown any nutrients and to heal any damage , to recover from intense light . So a 6-2 light schedule seemed perfect to me . You almost always keep your plants in constant optimal growth, they stress less and grow more from my experience. It’s almost like getting three growth schedules in one day. Any one have any experiences with this method ? This is my first go with it?

Interesting.

Do you flower using 6/6?

No , 12/12 for flowering, 6-2 is for accelerating your veg growth .

This is similar to the “Gas Lantern” technique: something like 5 1/2 on, 2 hours off and 1 hour on.

Yes pretty similar, my plants love it , six on two off six on two off and so on seems to be a sweet spot in the veg growth light cycle .just enough rest with just enough hours of light in a row equals better growth and less stressed out plants. I mean who doesn’t like a nap here and there lol

Yes I do this to decrease heat issues in my veg room… plants seem to love it and they grow like crazy…
I bet if we took the same plants in same system and half got 24 hours light and the other half was with this schedule… l would bet that the 6/2 schedule would out grow the 24 schedule…
People just don’t get it…

I ran 18-6 and than switched to 6-2 and my plants showed less heat stress and just looked happier and grew way faster .

Interesting, I’m having temp issues because of my lights I wonder if this would help that out.

Any reason why 5/3 wouldn’t work?

Five three may work but after 24 hours you will be at mo 15 hours light and 9 hours dark which is still good but I want as much light on my plants as possible , with out stressing them . I think this would optimize the growth so you get bigger autos, I will let you know I just got the 2.0 auto pack and starting next week

I run that schedule through out , seedling/clones , vegg all the way till flower…
I do it to keep temps down because my vegg room has no ac … it just has a couple of little swamp coolers…
Plants grow like crazy , its actually hard to keep up with them sometimes…

Yes , flower is 12/12 … I run a perpetual grow with 3 tables in same flower room so I don’t mess with the light schedule in flower…
