4x4. What Autopot system?

I just finished my grow, and I’m planning on switching to an Autopot system this summer.

My set up is as follows. A 4x4 tent. Light sources are 600-1000w mh/hps, with two 70w LEDs for side under lights.
I grow autos. I do so because photos often grow me out of my tent. Growing up into my lights and against the walls of the tent.
I like growing 4 plants so I have different strains at my disposal.

Ok. I’ve been reading everything I can find and view on Autopots. One thing they have in common is if done properly, they grow huge plants. Often producing up to a pound per plant.
My wife wants to buy their 4 pots system. But I have my concerns. I’m concerned 4 pots will overwhelm the capacity of the tent.
I’m leaning towards a 2 pot system or a Tray2Grow system.

Thoughts?

Do 12/12 for the whole grow using photoperiod and you will be able to fit 4 in your space. @MattyBear has done this for years.

I vote for the 4 pot system and configure it how you like. I’d order extra hose and fittings off the website too.

And I can attest to it being capable of doing a pound.

What size pot is that? Also, did you use an air dome? Straight coco, or a 50/50 or 70/30 mix, coco and perlite?
Thanks

I’m running the Geo pot system in grow room and tent. 4x4 tent with 4 photos, I have to flip by the time they are 15 inches and I manifold and cage them, 4 will fit that way. Without training, run 12/12 from sprout like @Myfriendis410 said.

Autopots will indeed help grow massive plants here’s half a plant right now.

I use the geopot system and like it. I have the stuff to run 2 plants at once I’m hesitant because this one is massive. You’ll definitely have to be creative like @Growdoc to fit the 4. You won’t be sorry you bought them though! :call_me_hand:t2:

I second the 4 pot system, that way you have options. Just know if you switch to AutoPots you may start growing autos that fill a 4x4

Here’s the last one I grew, Apple Fritter auto from ILGM. I didn’t weigh it but she filled 3 64oz mason jars

Autopots have a valve that lets them use all the water in the bowl before it lets more in. Not sure how they would compare….

So Auto pots make the plants grow faster? I don’t know much about them

Not necessarily faster, but it allows them to take exactly the amount of water and nutes that they need on demand, which will often result in faster more robust growth. Just be prepared for monsters! :call_me_hand:t2:

6 gallon XL with air dome. Normally just run 3 gallon fabric pots. Home made lights and grow space.

Thanks

I’m on the fence about pot size? I have an abundance of 5 gallon fabric pots, many brand new.

That said, I do like the idea of growing in a 3.9 gallon plastic pot. It frees up space in my tent.

You can use a fabric pot that is less than 10 1/2" in diameter. You will get smaller plants out of that setup but I still see 12 zips out of one plant with that.

Ok, now I’m confused.

I’ll get smaller plants from a 5 gallon fabric pot, than a 3.9 gallon plastic?

Sorry; was referring to my 6 gallon with air dome.

I like that wooden anchor. Thanks for the idea!
@Smokesdaily was it your topic lookin for custom grow things

Thanks! That was a 18” round tabletop with eye hooks for anchors. It worked great but I didn’t put any type of finish on it so eventually it split down the center. Now I use 18” round plant trays with holes drilled in the side for anchors
