Would this set up with speed control be too big for my grow room. I can get it quite a bit cheaper than the 175 cfm model.
It’s a bit larger than you probably need, but with a speed controller you just lower your fan speed. You’ll be glad you have a bigger fan.

The capacity of the fan and the speed control can be a great advantage if you need to move out heat fast. It will keep the air moving well. Should be fine.

I have a 3x3 tent and use a similar size fan with the controller. It is worth having and if you upgrade to a larger tent, you are all set! @BobD1

Are you setting up for a new grow?
@bob31, I am in third week of flower. I started a grow journal here but have gotten slack. getting too consumed with getting a proper setup. when the fan comes, setup should be complete, hopefully will get pics then. here is my set up so far
