4' x 4' x 6' 6" tent?

I need to go take a few more photos but here’s one I actually have two carbon filters one is a 2 x 4’ x 60" tent and then I built a 10 around it with tarps and it also has a carbon filter in it if you need more photos please let me know I’ll go snap a few look up ventech on amazon @Bobbi I think I got the fan and filter for under $100

@Bobbi

I have my filter in the tent the line going out of the top of the tent into my fan and then I have a three-way split were two of my fans blow it out of the house if you have anymore questions just tag me

I’m sick to my stomach literally, I think I bit off more than
I bargained for. Does this need to be vented outside? My hubby is going to scream! Do I need all this ? What would be the least amount of equipment I’d need with a cooled hood light? I’m 72, remember that

Going out for lunch, catch ya all later. Thank you everyone for your assistance.

Well you always have the choice of going with LED lights which will cost you about $75 for the light 300 W the filter that you see in my picture is for smell and air flow you could walk right in front of it And not even know it’s there

@Bobbi the question on ventilation depends on what your needs are. You do not need to vent outdoors. There are a couple of ways to cut corners but mainly it depends on why you need to vent.

MJ plants will give off an odor as they grow. If you are trying to keep your grow stealth then you will need ventilation at some point.

Basically we are talking about flexible piping a fan and filter.

Give us a little more info and let’s get this figured out! Lol no worries…

I have that size tent. You dont have to fill the tent the first go round. I started with an inexpensive LED. It grew bud. Good bud. Then an exhaust fan is all you need. I also put a speed controller because I didnt need full speed on the fan.

Light $75
Fan $20
Speed control $15

The piece I learned on first grow was importanc of pH. Buy the $12 pen tester. My second grow is rewarding me for it.

HMy tent will be in the basement of our house, no means of venting it outside. (We don’t have a clothes dryer or vent to outside). I haven’t purchased the Apollo Horticulture GLK 600 GW 19 Digital cool hood yet but it was recommended. Can you pop up a picture of the LED that would work for me and any necessary equipment that I should order with it if You all decide I should go that route? I already have a ph tester and moisture tester from gardening.

This wont be enough to cover the whole tent full of plants. It would be fine alone early in growing. Then you can add to it…as I have done. There are bigger models for more money. The 600w model could handle the whole tent…but more is better. They put out very little heat…so I would just vent it out of the tent if needed. I had to add a small table top heater to keep the temps up in my 50 degree garage and I have 1200w of these going now. So to clarify, I keep a vent open at bottom of tent for passive intake and have an exhaust fan at top. With this I have to use a heater to keep my temp inside tent up to 73.

My basement stays at 66 or so degrees year around, I won’t be putting in more than 2 plants at a time. If I have to gradually add more equipment, should I get something stronger? I’d like to buy once and be done with it and the east amount of equipment. How much can two plants smell?

I have white willow. Would the smell be faint?

They can definitely smell :sunglasses:. I would go up to the next level of that light if you want to buy just one…or you can buy a second of the one posted before. Your temps may be fine. Try putting a small fan blowing across the top of the plants between the light and the plant. As far as venting… I would need to see how you might be able to remove smell.

So if I purchased two mars hydro 300led for a total of $160, I’d only need a small fan (I have) and something to remove the smell?

That would be great. Hopefully some others that are more experienced can chime in on that idea.

Can someone point out something to remove the smell and I should be all set

@Bobbi seeds to germinate need low 80s and the ideal temp for MJ growing is high 70s daytime and high 60s at night.

You put a tent in your basement and you’re gonna need an inexpensive heater.

I’m gonna paste in some ideas here from Amazon of some options.

ph and tds meters (The ones that you stick in the soil dont work for our needs)

@Hawkeye_diesel…I am totally confused now. Going with your suggestion, 600w, or LED. Have you used both. I wanted the least equipment, least expensive but looks like it going to cost about the same. lEDUses 120v, what about the 600 watt you recommend ?

AWESOME! I think I love you. I will order most of them tomorrow morning!

the only thing is that the vent system still needs 4 inch ducting… I should have included that with my list…

Bob & Bobbi, can’t go wrong! LOL

I’ve used both, and currently I’m using both at the same time in my veg tent.
