300w cfl dual spectrum

That’s a great light if you don’t mind dropping the coin on it @Ivan2309
If I could afford it I’d do my whole grow with those lights
@yoshi knows more about them then I do maybe he will jump in here but I haven’t seen him around in a little while

Can you take a pic with just the veg light on please?

The platinum lights is the very first models , in my opinion the DS XML 350 which is the light @hillcrest21678 used in his scrogs is a very diverse light but the XTE 300 is much more light intensity , I’m still in the shadows here I just don’t post much cause what I do is different than what others suggest , so I do my own thing from self experience besides it’s how you learn regardless , the advance platinum is before the two guys separated business from a dispute when they both have rights over the brand name but one is old beginning technology which works , but diamond series and xte is new design with added reflectors to get better light penetration that has more intense power , and it’s also an advance spectrum maxx light series as well and now a new Arc series , the thing is cost times consistency and grams per watt if you trying to wholesale but in my case I fund my own operation and it was not for sale kind of personal for my sister who is an extensive fight with cancer , so budget times results is what you want to make sure you keep primary if not your be buying the same thing twice in time once you get a few harvest an a better understanding what makes your indoor grow produce …blessings !!!

@Ivan2309 Yes the fans on the Higrow are quiet. I work from home and the tent is in my office. The fans are no louder than the fans of my computers.

I’m sure you’ll be happy with the Advanced Platinum light though. I’ve heard good things about it. I looked at it myself when deciding on a led light. I also looked at the Kind LED. They were just out of my price range.

Just keep in mind like I mentioned is to get the most weight out of one plant is much better and less labor than growing multiples plants . With a DS XML 350 you can grow up to 10 autos and 6 regular feminshed plants in a 4x4 or 5x5 easily and it’s 582 actual watts with a white 10 watt crew led chips for veg and 300 plus blues and reds for bloom with IR and UV less as well but again Cost is not cheap . Now you can get the same results with the Marshydro Pro Cree II 256 series but you’ll need two compared to one Advance DS XML 350 or 650 , are you can do two Meizhi 1200 and save tons of money and get great results as well , are you can do viparspectra 900 with 3 dial switch panels and get great results , Heliospectra , are my favorite choice would be Apache Tech AT 600 or 200 which is the Bentley of Led lighting to Me in my experience hands down , but my point is this before you settle in on a purchase make sure you do your research and measure 5 times but spend once cause your biggest expense to growing should be you’re lighting , if you have a strong light quality your harvest and yields will be bountiful repeatedly !

@McLovin777 I think you will love this light! It does not have daisy chain which Meihzi does, but it has UV which the Meihzi 600w does not. Higrow also uses 90° secondary optics as opposed to Meihzi’s 120° cone. Additionally, the Higrow 600w has higher PAR values than both the Meihzi 600w and the ViparSpectra 600w. These were my reasons for choosing the Higrow 600w.

I just checked the par for the meizhi 450 reflector series and it says it has higher dose at 18 inch? Theirs one close to me but the par seems under low in comparison… ?

18" is too close for a 450w light. You would want to be ~26-28" at that wattage. that means the PAR will probably be around 450 (assuming I did the math right).

You mean watts? I don’t think so dude, I think the meizhi 450 is about 200 actual watt and has 900 par at 18inch… If memory serves I don’t doubt that, I’ve got all mine about a foot and a half from the lights

No. I was referring to the PAR not the wattage. I looked it up and the Meihzi 450w (195 true watts) has a PAR rating of 779 at 18" the PAR rating of the Higrow 600w is 583 at 24". As you raise the light the PAR value drops. The calculated value I gave before was if you raised the Meihzi to 27" which would be the recommended height based on Niala’s chart for LED lights. But let’s say you only raise it to 24" (same height the PAR value is given at for the Higrow), then you would have a PAR value of approx. 535 at 24". Obviously, if you put the light closer, the PAR value will be higher (thats true for any light). I was just trying to compare the PAR values at the same height. In the end, you have to choose the light that you feel is best suited for the space you’ll be using it in. As long as you are happy with your decision and the results you’re getting, that’s all that matters.
