Have a question. I have a 2x4 short tent for veg stage and a 5x5 stand up tent for flowering to harvest. I have (1) 1500w LED PLUS (2) 600W LED’s. One tent will get the 1500W big light and the other the (2) 600W LED’s.
QUESTION: Which light set up would you put where? Right now the 1500W is in my veg tent and the plants are in photo-steroid heaven!!! Do I put the pair of 600’s in the flowering tent or give them the 1500W mother ship? Also, getting the 600’s in the 2x4 veg tent will be a PITA.
My current grow is a bad example as I inherited (5) plants from a grower just over the state border who feared getting raided so right now I have (10) plants crammed in the 2x4 all 4-6 weeks old. With that said under NORMAL circumstances, my goal will be to have 4-5 plants in each tent for a continuous supply of medical cannabis.
In pondering my question I think I may use the twin 600’s in the little tent as I am thinking the extra 300 W will be better served in the flowering tent.
Unfortunately blurple LED’s are false advertising. “1500” watts in blurple typically equates to roughly around 300 actual watts (and that’s including the wattage the fans are using). What brand lights are you using?
Also in using one of those photo meter thingies, about 24 inches from the lamp the reading at the plants was around 400 and 600 Not sure what the unit of measurement measure for that is
Bobby is a longtime member he’ll point you in the right direction. I completely agree with him - at 405 W you can only do around 8-13 sq ft of adequate coverage (13 if you were using highly efficient led at 30W per sq ft and 8 at low efficient 50W… I think you’re closer to the 50W). Obviously at 25 sq ft you’d have to almost double your lights or cut your space in half and I’d bet my bottom dollar your tent will be a furnace. Doable but your already fighting an uphill battle. If you can return still I’d definitely look at doing that and use that money on something a little more efficient.
Conclusion to flower you’d have to use all 3 lights in 2x4 tent. If it makes you feel any better I bought 2 before I upgraded to quantum boards and now their both paperweights no one wants. Lesson learned
