For the past 6 years, I’ve strictly grown autoflowers except 1 time where the seed bank sent a photo instead of an auto. This is my 2nd indoor photo run and these girls are taking in over 1/2 gallon of water every day. Is that normal?
Seems a little low. My similarly sized plants usually get 2.5 gal every 3rd day.
I usually water just to the point of getting run off. I tried skipping a day and they were both wilted as hell. They are both Ethos. The one one the left with the longer white hairs is Pillows and the other is Cresendo. I’ve never seen buds like the Cresendo. Pistols are super tiny and buds look super tight. I also have a Cresendo going outside and I’m surprised there is no visible buds yet. Just finishing the preflower stretch and just being to form buds.
Those look like 5 to 7 gallon pots if you’re only feeding them one half a gallon you’re doing it all wrong. You’re not flushing out the old and replacing it with new you’re just storing up The salted nutrients. In 5 gallon pots I feed at least a gallon and a half to get a 15% runoff (which is adequate). Just my $0.02
My photos take almost 1 gal every 3 days. They are in 2 or 3 gallon fabric bags.
I’ll give that a try. I know the 5 gall pot gets run off after 1/2 gallon. The 7 gallon fabric pot does not. I’m feeding them with Jacks Part A and B along with incredible bulk.
What is your media? That matters as well. In dirt, when I was in a 7 gal I would run about 2-3 gallons through every 3-5 days depending. Now I am in Coco and it is 1 gallon every day without fail. Pots weigh about 4-6 lbs each day before watering.
It’s all about pushing out the old nutrients and putting in the new. Some people use two full gallons in a 5 gallon pot.
Personally I use 5 gallon pots and a gallon and a half of water gives me excellent runoff and I never get salt buildups. Salts can build up quickly 
Sounds right, I give one gallon in 3 gallon and 1 1/2 in 5 gallon Promix and perlite. Good runoff, numbers stay stable.
