At this stage I would put them at 16-8 and they will take off
Thanks for your advice, but they’re staying at 24/0 until Friday, then going down to 20/4 for a couple weeks. Then, I’ll put them to 18/6. At the end, I might drop it down to less, but breeders tend to recommend 18-20 hrs for autos, so I follow that.
Okay just trying to give you the best bang they need sleep like we I actually believe it’s one of the most important parts for the plants
That’s when you see the most growth is after a good dark period
And they will get a dark period starting Friday. ![]()
I had planned on switching the lights, today, but then I restarted a few seeds. I want to give those newest starts a few more days in 24/0. So, the oldest will now get 2 wks of 24/0, instead of 1.5 wks; the youngest will now get 1wk, instead of 1.5.
So, usually, I would have already been following your advice. ![]()
I do the 24-0 a week 16-8 two weeks then 12/12
At least that’s the schedule I use now and I average a minimum of 4 ounces to 6 ounces per plant dry @blackthumbbetty
Last year, for autos, I did switch to 12/12 the last few weeks of bloom. I was planning on stepping it down 24/0 to 20/4 to 18/6 to finishing at 12/12.
You know what you’re doing and I just think everything needs sleep because they grow more in the dark then in the day but that’s a awesome plan @blackthumbbetty
I can only dream of 4-6oz a plant, and what a glorious dream it is! I would definitely like to see a minimum of 2 oz per plant.
im dreaming that same dern dream lol @blackthumbbetty i tagged you over in my grow btw . it was 56 degs. this morning err i dont like cold lol.
Thanks for the tag!
i also love watching yalls grows i have 30 years to catch back up on ![]()
Ok, well, I decided to go ahead and start some nutes a-bubbling for Bloody Skunk, Jamaican Berry, and Sour Melon. The grow medium will be watered with the nutrient solution Wednesday am, approximately 1/8-1/4 cup per plant.
To 1 qt RO water I added .5ml grow & 1.25ml catalyst. After it’s bubbled, I will add 1ml Persephone’s Palate before feeding grow medium.
Ill take the bait. So do tell please. What’s the Persephone for?
Thanks for asking, @PurpNGold74! It helps make all the goodies in the soil more available to the microbes, plus it has been shown to increase terpenes by up to 25%. It contains calcium lignosulfonates which act as:
1.a complexing agent for soil nutrients, maintaining the soil nutrients in forms that are more readily available to the plant
2.metabolizable energy for the soil microbes present in the root zone
3.source of added organic carbon, sulphur and calcium
A response from a letter I wrote to the company:
"Hi Betty -
Scott says, ‘If you were to use it minimally for budget sake, then weeks 3-6 bloom are ideal for enhancing the terps during that stage in the cycle. If you use it from start to finish, you will still achieve the enhanced terpenes that you would in 3-6 weeks bloom, but you will also get more calcium for flowering, microbial food which in turn creates a smoother pathways of nutrient absorption by the microbial field. And increased microbial activity due to the carbon food source.’ "
Thanks! Sounds like the NOTG dude from the video. He seemed not only informative but like a reefer connoisseur if i do say so myself. N i do like my microbes (the good ones) in my soil. Carry on sensi
I’m adding it after bubbling b/c the company says it’s already broken down & bubbling will just decrease its efficacy.
I’m really intrigued by their line, but got gun shy by how difficult everyone made it sound. Then when whoever it was that got termites on only the plants fed with that line, I changed my mind. Still seems like the best all around, from what little research I did.
