I discovered PP while looking for calcium supplements that were free of NPK. Then, once I understood what it really did, I decided it sounded like an extremely useful addition to growing.
Their full line is definitely a bit much, for me, though it is intriguing.
The Persophones is good stuff. I’m using the Romans regimen for NFTG. I love the product but yes, it is a bit tedious. Although I’ve been using it for awhile, I’m using it for my first quantum board grow this time.

I freaking LOVE Idiocracy. I watch it at least once a year, and it has never failed to amaze me how it’s somehow closer to reality each time I watch it.
President Camacho declares that today, blackthumbbetty will feed her plants with the bubbly toilet water she has prepared!
I was going to let it bubble for between 30-40hrs, but the girls are telling me they want food, today. At the very least, they want their calcium. After bubbling for 18 hours, the pH was at 6.0. I decided to add 3.5ml of Persephone’s Palate (instead of 1ml…didn’t do the proper math, first time), which dropped the pH to 5.8. I added 1/2 cup plain r/o water, and brought the pH up to 6.0.
I gave Jamaican Berry, Sour Melon, and Bloody Skunk 6 tbsp of the solution. I also gave Sweet Tooth and Blue Dream 2 tbsp each. I spritzed everyone’s foliage with plain water, too. The baby-babies got a thorough misting, both leaves & promix.
Currently, the dome is off & the oscillating fan is going on low.
Right now, I’m aiming for a pH of 6.0-6.2, with the promix. Since I’m doing the organic thing, I’m also trying not to go crazy worrying about adjusting everything so it’s perfect.
Promix growers: what pH do you use? I’ve gotten so many different answers from dozens of different sites, but 6.0-6.2 seems to be the best.
Organic growers: how much assistance do you give medium in mitigating pH issues? Do you adjust to a certain point & then trust your soil to do its job, do you not adjust at all, or do you adjust to “proper” pH at all times?
I was planning on trying to go with 6.0-6.2 pH. When watering, I plan on adjusting to that range. When feeding, I plan on adjusting so it’s at least w/in a point of that range, preferably higher, than lower.
So many different answers! I’ll try 6.2-6.4, in the future. With going organic, not sure how much I need to worry about pH, as long as it’s not too wonky. I mean, everyone says pH isn’t a worry with organic grows, but since pH has been drilled into me as something to vigorously check, I am wary about not worrying. Does that make sense?
Luckily, promix tends to swing up through pH while it dries, so it is a bit more forgiving of minor flubs.
I have no idea but this banter solved one thing in my mind. I can watch both your grows and adjust accordingly. And i agree. That name has to go. Ur thumbs have at least upgraded to mossy green…
