I mean, they’re soon to be dead baby roots… the Sweet Tooth, 7 days from germ, 3 days after putting into inoculated Promix:

It’s the one I’m replacing. See pic above.

I’m hoping the others are just as healthy, since I hope I don’t see them until after harvest. :grinning:

Potheads, right?

I guess I should get my ro system ready. I really just have to prep the new membrane.

I plan on watering with RO water. For feeding, I will use half RO & half tap.

Speaking of feeding: I normally would wait several weeks, but with promix I’m thinking the first feeding will be sometime next week? I’ll be bubbling up my first batch of Earth Juice, then. Honestly, this grow (new light, new grow medium, new nutes) is almost like learning everything all over again!

I’m hoping that the newest babies are germed, this morning. I’ll be tumbling out of bed to check, shortly. Then, time to get the RO system going, sanitize my water & feed buckets, and head to the post office to pick up my perlite & new air stones.

Edit: new Blue Cheese & Pineapple Crack germinated & popped into cowpots. The newer half of my seedling tray will stay on top of the heat mat until Monday. Since I won’t be able to tend to them from 2pm today until Monday am, I decided to pot up the 4 new babies a day or 2 earlier than normal, significantly decreasing the chances of the rapid rooters drying out. I promise I did not over water them.

I also decided today was a good day to water the 3 oldest seedlings. They got a whopping 1 tbsp each of pH 6.0 tap water; next watering will use ro water. It only took a teeny pinch of EJ pH down granules to take my 8.9pH tap water down to 6.0.

Was able to do a sneak check on the babies, this morning: 7 healthy, green, & growing girls! No signs of any type of burn or deformity.

The Girls! Oldest on the right, youngest on the left. Amazing what a difference 7 days make!

They’re enjoying some undomed time with the oscillating fan, now. Very gentle air movement. The heatmat is still on, to help keep the temp in the tent in the mid-70’s, at the least. Light is still drawing 125w, set 26" above the oldest plants (27.5" above youngest), on 24/0.

I will start fiddling with power draw & height in a couple days. I want the youngest to get used to their sunshine-in-a-tent before I crank it up. :grinning:

Keeping things moist with multiple h20 mistings each day.
