1st journal and first grow. Loving it. 2 Cherry pie & 1 train wreck

Keep a lil fan moving air underneath too so you have some constant air movement, just don’t blow directly on your buds.

Are you going to use them right away, if not put them in zip lock bags and freeze.

Alright cool thanks @Bulldognuts it will be awhile

I’ve never actually used sugar leaves or even buds for making butter or infused cooking oil. Currently researching to see the easiest way to go about it. So I currently have 240 grams of sugar leaves and some of the lower buds that wasn’t as solid enough to really worry about in the freezer.

Yes I have been looking also, I have a lot too and some little button buds like you said. So if you find something kind of easy let me know

Well you can just decarb and toss some in brownie mix. Not sure about doing that way due to not being sure how much to use. Don’t want to find myself passed out on the floor with Otis sitting on my head.

Hahahahah that made me laugh out loud, I was wondering are we allowed to post a recipe on here on how to make cannabutter???

Dude there’s a bunch of threads here about every way possible to use cannabis. Check @blackthumbbetty she as a entire thread on recipes. Everything you can imagine. She also has several postings about how to make butter and infused coconut oil. I’ve been searching for different ways to do butter and oil.

I found a pretty easy way.

Although sugar leaves aren’t too strong on their own, they offer a potent high when their trichomes are extracted and condensed.

This quintessential cooking extract can be infused into just about any recipe imaginable, from cakes and cookies to salad dressings and pasta dishes. Here’s how to make it:

INGREDIENTS

· 28g trimmed sugar leaves
· 250g salted butter ( 1cup)
· 300ml tap water (add another 50ml for every hour the mixture is left simmering)

HARDWARE

· Kitchen knife (or a blender)
· Cheesecloth
· Storage container
· Measuring jug

How to Make Highly Potent Cannabis Butter

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1

Before we start melting and mixing, we need to activate the sugar leaves. They’re already high in the cannabinoid acid THCA, but we need to convert that into THC to achieve a psychoactive effect. This can be done easily by applying heat—a process known as decarboxylation.

Begin by placing your dried sugar leaves on a chopping board. Chop them up as fine as possible with a sharp kitchen knife, or throw them into a blender to save some time.

Once processed, place the plant matter on a baking tray and preheat the oven to 100°C; bake for 40 minutes.

STEP 2

Melt the butter in a pan, add the water, and mix thoroughly. Add your plant matter and set to low heat. Simmer the mixture for a total of eight hours. Remember to add an extra 50ml of water every hour!

Check on the mixture frequently to make sure it doesn’t rise above a simmer, and give it a stir every now and then.

STEP 3

Next, you’ll need to filter your mixture. Fix the cheesecloth to the edges of the measuring jug using string or a rubber band and strain the mixture. You should be left with a vicious, green liquid.

Pour into separate containers—mason jars work well—and place them in the fridge for storage. The cannabutter will solidify and display a gorgeous light green colour. Now you’re ready to cook all manner of psychoactive edibles!

Earlier I was checking and she found a way use a Insta-pot to make it a lot quicker I think in about two hours. I didn’t finish reading but plan following up possibly trying it. If you’re not familiar with Insta-pot it’s similar to a pressure cooker.

Oh ok that makes sense, yes the way I found takes 8 hours on a stove simmering

I gotta up my game.
The other night I just sprinkled decarbed sugar leaves on brownie mix. It worked, but they were strong.

Yeah, I saw that meant to ask how that was. How much did you add and was it actual bud or sugar leaves.

Never mind about which it was I see you said sugar leaves. :slightly_smiling_face:

I actually just ate the last one. I liked em. It was not measured at all. I have no idea. I do something like that every time I trim leaves with crystals and baby buds. Last time, I decarbed, and then added to an omelet with mushrooms. Straight leaves. Omeletsbstill tasted good, but we were wasted all day long. I need to measure. It’s always an adventure the way I do it. I’m thinking about buying an infuzium machine next month when I have a bunch cured. I’d like to have an idea how much each dose had.

Like I was saying to @MyHd I’m going to try find info on how measure the amount of buds vs. the amount of butter or oil to use so I can not over use or under dose. Info is on forum but sort of scattered on different threads.
