Thanks in advance for any help. My setup is a 3x3 grow tent with a 250 watt universal super HPS grow lamp and a 6" fan. The grow tent is in a walk-in windowless closet. I don’t currently have a temp/humidity reader or a PH water testing meter (looking to get both). The seeds im working with are both Bubble Gum.
I start them in Jiffy pellets on a windowsill and gave them little water every 2-3 days or when it feels dry and light. I transferred them to solo cups filled with Kind Soil at about 7 days in and the sprout was around 1.5"-2". The cups also have holes in the bottom.
My 1st attempt im sure i overwatered them and i believe the light was too close and ultimately wilted and died. This 2nd attempt the light is hovering at 24"-26" and is on a 18/6 timer… 6 days in the tent the top of the soil is pretty crispy but the bottom of the soil is still moist/wet (i have a simple moisture meter), so i poked extra holes in the cup to help dry it out. Theres not a lot of growth since and they’re just starting to lean over today similar to my 1st attempt.
Sorry for the long write up im just very anxious to get this going correctly. I guess im writing for help on anything i should change. I have 2 more seeds that just sprouted for a 3rd attempt. Thanks again!

In case you didnt know the material used for those pellets will not break down and if transplanted will inhibit the growth of your roots. I found out the hard way. I stopped using them and I plant my seeds right into the grow medium I’m going to use.

Welcome to ILGM. I’d say the Light might be a little too much for them at 24" I’d raise it up 30/36". They need water depending on how fast they’re drying out. We all tend in the beginning to love them to death until we find out they do better with little… Lol maybe a picture in natural light?
Ok ill try raising the light up. In the last couple hours the one sprout fell
What kind of soil are you using? And only using water? They look pretty dry
Its organic Kind Soil. The label says its a water only system and should never require any form of nutrients when using. For optimal results you must use a carbon filtered water that has a natural PH level between 6.5-7.1.
I have been using tap water and im not sure the PH levels since i don’t have a meter yet.

You should be fine on that. I put them under a clear cup, drink bottle, and mist the bottle everyday. They don’t need much when they’re young like that. That should help u some. That keeps you from over watering them

Alright ill try that, thanks for your tips
Take a toothpick and a bread tie and stand your fallen one up. Might make it might not. But lying on the soil will kill it.
Buy all the above immediatley but buy the best you can afford as they should be one off buys if they are good quality and you will become a Green Wizard.
