18 Days After Flip - Is This a Male Flower

Found a couple of these in the past week and picked em off in case. Is it a hermie? Or just a female bract that I didn’t let develop enough to put out pistils? But it seems big to not have pistils yet…

Definitely male parts. I had this issue not too long ago - removed the male bits and had no additional issues with her. Good eye.

Seem to only be growing on one side of the two tallest branches…well one is the top and one is a branch. The first one was on the tallest main, but low down…this one was high up and on the second tallest.
Only plant so Im definitely keeping it and keeping my eyes peeled.
I’ll be switching to clones for the next and the future runs I think.

Oh and thank you for the confirmation…I was pretty sure, but didn’t want it to be true haha

Just pluck the few off and keep a close eye on her

That’s the plan. Do you know if they try to grow back in the same spots?

They generally won’t. Once you remove a growth node, the plant tends to just heal over right there and move on. Since male parts come in clusters, I would still keep an eye on the affected area, but I’d be more concerned about new growth in other nodes.

Okay, now that I’ve confirmed it, will check with a fine tooth comb…or tweezers…to see if there are more lurking.
She’s got some nice buds coming in it seems and it’d be a shame to have it all seedy.

She’s definitely a beauty.

When you conduct the search and removal, have a spray bottle full of water on hand. Spray any male parts with water before removal so the sacs are wet. Water kills pollen, and will prevent any spillage from contaminating the room. :v:

Sounds like a plan, thank you. :v:

Stopped caring so much about the balls because I’ve found a decent few already opening up…:disappointed: Just gonna keep it going like nothing has happened and if it’s seedy, it’s seedy lol
Here she is now, 23 days after flip.

Gotta do what you gotta do to get some smoke. Been there before :v:

Yeah, this was just a because I have everything to do it kind of grow from bag seeds.
Next will be a 2 or 4 clone scrog net in the 2x2 instead bag seed. Also plan to be more strict about light during dark, which I have been pretty good about. I only pop the tent open periodically to check temp/rh and that’s with my phone screen on dim with a pure green screen. BUT I noticed my little fan has small blue and red leds on it…might be my culprit? :man_shrugging:

Hey there!
Am I looking at heat or light issues? My lights are really close but not very powerful or that hot with the ventilation, though the center of the plant does get the least air movement.
The brownish spots seem to be on slightly older leaves but higher up and the whole plan has a tiny bit of clawing and the smallest bit of burnt tips. Just wondering what’s up with it.

Spacing the lights is kinda hard with the two tall branches on the sides and smaller in the middle.

Sounds like she’s developing “painted nails.” Common sign that she’s at max capacity for nutes - keep doing what you’re doing but don’t add more. If you’re using anything really nitrogen heavy, I’d cut that back a smidge.

Just water into a living soil, Purple Cow Indicanja. Haven’t used nutes at all, must just be a fairly hot soil I guess.
I’ll just keep it going as is for now. Thank you!
